Week 3

BU7

Celtic remain top of the division after a draw and a win during the week 3 games. A 6-2 victory over the HBC Cruisers was followed by a 2-2 tie with Rangers.

Matt Bender scored twice for Rangers but goals by Jeffrey Flores and Lennon Harrington evened the score.

The Cruisers led the Annoying Oranges Juniors 1-0 thanks to a James Vassella goal but with time running out Lucas Flores equalized and Jhordan Morada scored the winner with five seconds left to give the Oranges the win.

The Oranges made it two wins by beating the HBC Crushers 5-2, Jhordan Morada again on target, this time with four goals.

Casey Goralski scored twice as Elwood edged out Rangers 3-2 but they went down 2-1 to the Crushers in the final game of the day, Alex Ruisi scoring the winning goal for the Crushers.

BU10

The HBC Wildcats got the U10 division underway with a 7-2 victory over HBC Spurs. Danny Dorrie scored four times and Chris Thorsen twice. The Wildcats then lost to Arsenal 4-1, Dylan Gugin hitting the target twice for Arsenal.

Sean Keslonsky and Lennon Harrington each scored twice as Chelsea beat HBC Spurs 5-0. Chelsea followed that with a 6-0 win over HBC Wolves, Lennon Harrington scoring five of the goals.

The HBC Chargers had a rough day with a 5-0 and 6-0 defeats. Evan Gaumont scored twice for Arsenal in their 5-0 victory while four goals from Henry Vohs and two from Luke Rinaldi gave the HBC Ambush a 6-0 win.

Amir Hussein scored the winner as Wolves beat Team Poland 1-0 in a close game but Northport Thunder proved tougher compettion as they beat Wolves 6-0, Ryan Cash and Kyle Damico each scoring twice for the Thunder.

The U10 game of the day was between the Thunder and the Ambush. Derek Vassallo’s first half goal was enough to give the Thunder the points in an exciting 1-0 win.

BU12/13

The SH Sharpshooters played an end to end game with the SH Saints and came out on top 2-0. Kevin Martin and Paul Schiller scored for the Sharpshooters. 

Allan Calderon’s hat trick then gave the Uniondale Vikingos a 3-0 win over the Sharpshooters and the Vikingos maintained their 100% record by beating the HBC Outlaws 1-0 in a entertaining match, Kevin Zelaya with the only goal of the game.

The Saints recovered to beat the Levittown Inferno. Thomas Pitfick scored twice in the 4-2 triumph before Levittown fell 3-1 to the Outlaws in the final game of the day. Pat Ahearne scored two of the goals for the Outlaws.

BU14/15

There were only three games in the BU14/15 division and the HBC Sting took advantage to stay top with six wins out of six. Luke Lucklow scored twice in the 4-2 victory over CSH Falcons and Eren Aydin scored four as they beat the Tornados 6-2, Corey Phelan had both the goals for the Falcons.

The final game saw the Falcons and the Tornados share the points in a fast paced 2-2 draw. Corey Phelan and Jordan Robinson were on target for the Tornados with Ray Donjan and James Cosmai replying for the Falcons.

GU12/13

The CSH Crushers stayed top of the division after another two victories. Teddi Carnesi, Kylie Rapell and Taylor Cullen all found the net in the 3-0 win over Northport Spirit before the Crushers beat the Blue Devils 4-0. An excellent first half performance saw the Crushers race into a 4-0 lead with Kylie Rappell on target twice.

Two goals by Jensy Ponce gave the Northport Dolphins a 3-2 win over the Spirit and the Dolphins made it two victories with a close 2-1 win over the Tiger Lily’s. Adelaide Kline scored for the Tiger Lily’s but goals by Mckenzie Schuvart and Leela Desai gave the points to the Dolphins.

Caroline Hartough and Mia Reddick each scored twice for the Shooting Stars but their goals couldn’t prevent the Blue Devils from an exciting triumph. Carly Stevens also scored twice as the Devils won 5-4.

The Shooting Stars came back with a victory in the final game of the day in the division as they beat the Tiger Lily’s 4-2
