Week 2

 

BU6

Southdown Flyers had a good week taking maximum points from their two games. A 2-0 win over HBC Germany was followed by a 4-3 victory over Green Machine with Jack Steinberg scoring a hat trick.

HBC Holland also beat Germany 2-0 to record their first points of the season but were beaten by Future Stars 3-2 who had Roman Martin to thank for his three goals.

Jonathan Duffy scored twice for the Green Machine against Kings Park Express but it wasn’t enough as the the Express won 3-2. Matthew Donnis scored twice and an unfortunate own goal meant Kings Park got the points.

Matthew scored another two goals in the 4-0 win over Future Stars which means Kings Park are top of the division with 8 points from four games.

BU7

Rangers won both of their week two games to go second in the league. A 4-2 win over the Annoying Oranges Jnrs was followed by a 5-3 win over the HBC Crushers. Royale Baker scored three times on the day, Joe Rocca and Grant Kurland each had two and Ryan DiVico one.

The Crushers recovered and beat the HBC Cruisers 2-1 thanks to two goals by Caden Veitch, Caden also had two in the Cruisers first game against Rangers.

The Cruisers mounted their own recovery to take the points in a 2-0 victory over Elwood, Cooper Brandt and James Vassallo with the goals.

Celtic remain top with maximum points after two more victories. Lennon Harrington scored four times and Robbie Campbell once in a 5-0 win over the Annoying Oranges. They followed that with a 4-0 win over Elwood, Jeffrey Flores opened the scoring and Lennon Harrington added three more.

BU10

HBC Wolves started the day top of the league but lost a close game with HBC Spurs 2-1. Amir Hussein equalized for Wolves after Nick Perciballi had given Spurs an early lead but David Lazaro scored the winner right after half time. Amir was on target again against the HBC Wildcats but goals from Nick Camponelli, Chris Thorsen and Danny Dorrie gave the Wildcats a 3-1 victory.

The Wildcats then played a tight game against the HBC Ambush, Liam Lennon scored twice for the Ambush but the Wildcats hit back with strikes by Luca Schwarz and Chris Thorsen, 2-2 the final score.

Spurs made it two for two by beating team Poland 6-0 and the Chargers then recorded their first win with a 2-0 win over Poland, Ian Pomareda and Ryan Mohiuddin scoring the goals.

Two Charlie Grimonti goals helped the Ambush to a 3-2 win over Arsenal which means they are unbeaten so far this season.

John Oswillos scored twice for Northport Thunder in their 4-1 win over the Chargers. The Thunder then led Chelsea 1-0 at half time thanks to a great strike from distance by Timmy Tomlinson. Aleks Proniewski volleyed in the equalizer for Chelsea before Lennon Harrington scored a late winner to complete the comeback for Chelsea. Chelsea also remain unbeaten after a 3-0 win over Arsenal. Liam Harrington opened the scoring and Lennon added two more to put Chelsea level on points with HBC Spurs at the top of the division.

BU12/13

Two Nico Rzehak goals and one from Danny Benson gave the SH Saints their first points of the season in a 3-1 win over the HBC Outlaws. Danny was on target again against the Uniondale Vikingos but Goals by Niko Vidai, Warren Sanger, Sebastian Blass and Joshua Ramirez gave the Vikingos the points in a 4-1 win.

The Vikingos made it four wins out of four beating the Levittown Inferno 4-0, Kazuki Yoshihashi was on target twice for the Vikingos.

The SH Sharpshooters beat the Outlaws 3-1 thanks to goals by Kevin Martin, Pranith Gona and an own goal, Patrick Ahearne replied for the Outlaws.

The final match of the day was an exciting but goalless game between the Sharpshooters and the Inferno, both teams had chances but couldn’t break the deadlock, 0-0 the final score.

BU14/15

Chris Callan and Corey Phelan each scored twice as the Tornados continued their fine start to the season by beating Northport Warriors 6-3. They lost their unbeaten record in their next game though as the HBC Sting came out on top 4-1, two goals by Eren Aydin and one each for Chris Wright and John Baccardo winning it for the Sting.

The Northport Warriors then secured their first points with an exciting 5-3 victory over SSB, Jack Wetzel scoring a fine hat trick.

Colin Barnard scored twice for SSB in the final game in the division but HBC Sting helped themselves to eight goals to go top of the table. Luke Lucklow scored a hat trick in the 8-2 win.

GU12/13

The GU12/13 division produced some close and exciting games during week two.

Petra Brown scored the only goal of the game as the CSH Crushers beat the Shooting Stars 1-0. The Crushers then went top of the league with a 3-1 victory over the Northport Dolphins thanks to goals by Kylie Rapell, Caroline O’Rourke and Taylor Cullen, Mia Freire replied for the Dolphins.

The Shooting Stars and the Northport Spirit tied an end to end game 0-0 before the Northport Spirit beat the Tiger Lily’s 4-0. Jensy Ponce was on target twice for the Spirit and Elizabeth Starin once, the other being an own goal.

The final two games also ended in ties. Mia Reddick scored for the HBC Blue Devils but Mia Freire evened it up for the Dolphins in a 1-1 game. The Tiger Lily’s and the Blue Devils found goals hard to come by and had to settle for a point each, 0-0 the final score in that game.
