Week 6

 

BU6

HBC Holland moved above HBC Germany in the league table with two wins in the BU6 division. Alex Gizzi scored both goals in the 2-0 victory over Germany then Connor McDonald and Justin Tibaldi scored as they beat the Green Machine 2-1.

The Southdown Flyers also beat the Green Machine. Michael Tucker, Jack Steinberg and Colby Konisberg all scored in the 3-1 win.

The Future Stars shared the points with Germany in a 1-1 tie but then went down 2-0 to the Kings Park Express.

The game of the day was between Kings Park and the Flyers. An entertaining game saw Matthew Donnis score a hat trick for the Express but the Flyers claimed a point with two goals from Jack Steinberg and one from Michael Tucker, 3-3 the final score.

BU7

The Annoying Oranges Jnrs and Celtic both had good weeks taking maximum points from their games. The Oranges beat the HBC Cruisers 3-0 then two Jhordan Morada goals helped them overcome Elwood 4-1.

Celtic beat Rangers 4-2 and the HBC Crushers 3-0 to stay clear at the top of the table, Jeffrey Flores scored twice in both games.

Elwood and the Crushers played an end to end game but both teams were unable to fine the net and the points were shared, 0-0.

BU10

Northport Thunder opened the BU10 division with a 3-0 victory over Team Poland, Liam Sevey, Dylan Sofarelli and Finn Tyer scoring the goals. The Thunder couldn’t make it two for two though as they lost to Chelsea. Liam Harrington opened the scoring, Shay Daly added a second before Lennon Harrington scored twice to complete a 4-0 victory.

The two teams who started the day level on points at the top of the table then played with Chelsea overcoming the HBC Ambush. Shane Longin broke the deadlock in the first half and further goals from Aleks Proniewski, Shay Daly and Lennon Harrington gave Chelsea their second 4-0 win of the day.

The Ambush recovered to beat HBC Spurs 7-1, Henry Vohs scored a hat trick and Luke Rinaldi scored twice.

Team Poland played an excellent game with the HBC Chargers and got their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw. Lars Galvin and Mikey Kline were on target for Poland with Ethan Leece and Lucas Sheridan replying for the Chargers.

Nick Camponelli and Danny Dorrie each scored twice as the HBC Wildcats beat the Chargers 4-0 but they lost to Arsenal as a late goal from Bryan Lizama, his second of the game, gave Arsenal a 2-1 win.

David Lazaro was another player to score twice as Spurs beat HBC Wolves 3-0. Sean Kozodoy went one better and scored a hat trick as Arsenal beat Wolves 7-2, Patrick Soulias was also on target twice.

BU12/13

The Saints recorded a 3-1 win over the HBC Outlaws in the opening BU12/13 game, Nico Rzehak finding the net twice. They then played a close game against the Uniondale Vikingos but went down 4-2, Kevin Zelaya scoring twice for the Vikingos. The Vikingos continued their excellent season with a second victory, this time over Levittown Inferno. Their 3-1 victory means they are the only team in all the divisions with a perfect record.

The SH Sharpshooters also had a good day winning both of their games. Kevin Martin and Pranith Gona scored the goals as they beat the Outlaws 2-0 then Kevin Martin scored the only goal of a close game against the Inferno.

GU12/13

Elizabeth Starin continued her fine goal scoring run for the Northport Spirit netting another five goals in the GU12/13 division. She scored both goals in the 2-0 win over the Northport Dolphins then hit a hat trick in the 4-2 victory over the HBC Blue Devils. Jensy Ponce was also on target for the Spirit while Meghan Agrillo scored twice for the Devils.

Kaitlyn Stefanac, Lucy Goldner and Shannon O’Boyle scored the goals as the Dolphins beat the Shooting Stars 3-1 and Emily Plachta scored the only goal of an exciting game as the CSH Crushers beat the Blue Devils 1-0.

Tiger Lily’s and the Shooting Stars played a competitive game that ended even with both teams unable to find the net, 0-0 the final score.

The final game of the day saw the Tiger Lily’s beat the Crushers 2-1. Caroline O’Rourke’s goal looked like it would give the Crushers another 1-0 win but Angeline Miraglia tied it up for the Lily’s before Claire Lindsey scored the winner with only five seconds left on the clock.

BU14/15

Jason Castellanos and Eddie Daubel scored the goals as the CSH Falcons beat the Northport Warriors 2-1. Both players were on target in their next game with Eddie scoring a hat trick but it wasn’t enough as the HBC Sting beat them 7-4. John Tucker, Luke Luckow and Chris Wright all scored twice and Eren Aydin once for the Sting.

Chris and Eren also scored twice in the Sting’s 5-3 win over the Tornados with Luke scoring once. Jordan Robinson found the net twice for the Tornados and Chris Callan once,

The Tornados came out on top in their game with the Warriors, Corey Phelan and Jordan Robinson with the goals.
