Week 6 Review – January 22, 2018

BU18

Adam Debus gave One Pound Fish a 1-0 half time lead in the opening game against Bana UO. Bana came to life in the second half and Eddie Serwan tied it up before Jimmy Desantis gave them the lead after a quick free kick. Michael Barefield wrapped it up with the last kick of the game to make it 3-1 to Bana.
Two early goals by Will Kelly and Adam Costa gave H Footy a 2-0 advantage against One Pound Fish and it proved to be enough as both teams failed to add to the score line.
Swaz Tekkers FC and Bana UO played next and it was another game that erupted after the break. Will Nasta scored the only goal of the first half to give Tekkers the lead but shortly after the restart Michael Barefield and Eddie Serwan turned it around with goals for Bana. Zach Himmel equalized almost immediately for Tekkers before Michael Barefield scored the goal of the night when his ‘Rabona’ shot flew into the corner of the net. It was a goal worthy of winning any game but it wasn’t to be as Will Nasta fed Austin Borina who slotted the ball home to make it 3-3 then Will hammered a low drive into the bottom corner to win it for the Tekkers 4-3.
Tekkers found themselves behind again when Will Kelly scored for H Footy. Carlos Godoy’s strike then went in off the underside of the bar to give Footy a 2-0 lead but two Will Nasta goals and one by Dylan Deloia completed another comeback for the Tekkers who held on for the 3-2 victory.

BU10

Gale Kurland gave Chaos a 1-0 half time lead against Harborfields Barca in the opening BU10 game. Allie Alloggiamento added another after the break and Grant Kurland scored twice as Chaos recorded an impressive 4-0 victory.
Barca improved in their next game and took the lead against the Destroyers when Justin Valencia scored. Noah Delello tied it up for the Destroyers mid way through the second half but a late Carlos Morales strike gave Barca the 2-1 win.
Ashley Pelliccione kept her second clean sheet of the day in the Chaos goal as they again won 4-0, this time beating the Southdown Flyers. Sam Dinstell and Allie Alloggiamento were on target and Grant Kurland added another two to move top of the Golden Boot Table.
The Flyers beat the Destroyers 1-0 in the divisions final game of the day. James Fitzpatrick’s first half goal was enough to secure the points as both defenses held tight in an even second half.

BU12/13

John Tsoumpas scored the only goal of a tight first half for CSH Vipers against HBC Revolution in the division’s opening game. Revolution pressed after the break and were rewarded with a minute remaining when Ryan Chavez equalized to make the final score 1-1.
Super Sane Smithtown extended their lead at the top of the table winning beating HBC Revolution 3-0 then Spurs 1-0. Gavin Reis scored twice and Thomas Natale once in the game against the Revolution then a Luke Hunsucker drive in the first thirty seconds against Spurs proved to be the winning goal in a closely fought game.
The Vipers remain second after beating Valencia 5-2. John Tsoumpas scored twice as the Vipers pulled away after the break after a close first half.
Valencia then led Spurs 1-0 at half time thanks to Christian Alvizures’ strike but Spurs upped their game after the break and a Carlos Banegas hat trick and a goal by Luciano Stanco gave them a convincing 4-1 victory.

 

BU11

 

Celtic left it late as they beat the Sounders 2-1 in the BU11 division’s opening game. Grant Kurland’s goal separated the teams at the half but the Sounders leveled early in the second half when Carter Hendrickson’s shot found the net. Both teams pressed for the winner and it came courtesy of Matt Bender with only one minute remaining.

Byron Arajo netted twice as Celtic then beat Liverpool 4-1 to move clear at the top of the table.

Liverpool recovered and beat HBC Juventus in their next game, Gale Kurland and Nick Kump each scored twice after Thomas Carluccio’s opener in the 5-1 victory. Kale Hobbs replied for Juventus.

CSH Outlaws and the Sounders shared the points in a 2-2 draw. Braydon Vitagliano and Michael Brandine were on target for the Outlaws with Josh Bohlem and Matt Horyczun evening it up for the Sounders.

Juventus soaked up some pressure before taking the lead against the Vipers. Grant Kurland was brought down in the box and converted the resulting penalty kick but the Outlaws hit straight back and tied it thanks to a Josh Stimpfl goal.

Colin Lennon gave the Vipers a 2-1 lead mid way through the second half but Brian Canales equalized on a breakaway with two minutes left and it ended 2-2.

 

BU9

 

Chelsea and Ajax played a nine goal thriller in the BU9 opener. Two Elijah Prywes goals gave Ajax a 2-0 lead but Chelsea turned it around with three straight goals to go 3-2 ahead. Ajax then scored twice through Jason Kobos and Elijah to regain the lead but two late goals swung the game back in Chelsea’s favor and they held on for the 5-4 victory. Jake Marcus scored once with Joseph Gizzi and Eli Solinsky netting twice each for Chelsea, Eli’s second proving to be the winner.

Ajax bounced back and another two goals by Elijah Prywes were followed by a Daniel Chung hat trick in the 5-0 win over the Harborfields Bulls.

Chelsea made it two wins out of two with a comfortable 7-1 triumph over Harborfields Bears. Gavin Paterniani scored four times before Jake Marcus added a late hat trick, Owen Guddemi scored for the Bears.

The Bulls and Bears played another tight game against each with the Bulls coming out on top this time. Joey Serventi’s two strikes weren’t enough for the Bears as two Jake Larocco goals and one from Jack Hochheiser made it 3-2 to the Bulls.

 

GU12/13

 

HBC Mighty Tigers enjoyed an impressive victory over the CSH Wrecking Balls. Julia Gervase was on target twice and McKenzie Coleman once in the 3-0 win.

Emmy Evans then gave the Wrecking Balls a half time lead over the Legends but second half goals by Neha Rathore and Jillian Panos gave the Legends the points in the 2-1 victory.

South Huntington Herricanes guaranteed themselves the number one seed in the play offs with two convincing wins over the Mighty Tigers and the Legends. Golden Boot leader Britney Cisneros and Kathleen O’Mara each scored twice against the Tigers in the 5-0 victory then Britney added a hat trick to her total against the Legends in a second 5-0 win.

 

BU13/14

 

Levittown Green and HBC Arsenal shared four first half goals in an end to end BU13/14 game. Andrew Stanco and Jason Benitez brought Arsenal level twice after Ryan Carmody’s two goals for the Greens. Levittown went ahead a third time after the break and this time held onto the lead adding two more to win 5-2, Max Bloess, Nolan Kaveney and Jack Longobucco were all on target.

David Lazaro scored for Benfica against Arsenal but two goals by Jason Benitez and one by Bryan Lizama saw Arsenal take a 3-1 lead early in the second half. Benfica rallied and strikes by Christian Lizama and Aidan Brancaccio brought them level and the points were shared in a 3-3 tie.

Jack Longobucco gave Levittown Green a 1-0 half time lead over Chelsea but an improved second half display from Chelsea saw them score three straight to take a two goal lead. Brent Starkey, Adrian Garcia and Matteo Mazzilli all netted before Max Bloess pulled a late goal back for the Greens. 3-2 the final score.

Huntington United were too strong for Benfica and a hat trick by Ben Koch and two goals from Dylan Thody saw them win 5-0.

Levittown White took an early two goal lead over Chelsea, Nolan Kaveney scored  twice before Chelsea pulled one back before half time. Chelsea benefited from an unfortunate own goal to tie it up 2-2 after the break and Brent Starkey completed the comeback scoring the winner with four minutes left to play.

Levittown White then produced an impressive performance to beat leaders Huntington United 4-1. A Kyle Harrington hat trick and a goal by JP Decima stopped any chance of a comeback after Ben Koch had briefly made it 2-1 with a goal for United.

 

BU15

 

The Vikingos started strongly and ended up 5-0 winners against the Outlaws Green. Justin Mendez and Sebastian Blass both scored twice and Adrian Astuddillo added one.

Dan Costello hit a hat trick for Outlaws White against Outlaws Green but Thomas Pitvik scored five times for the Greens! Thomas’ fifth was the games final goal and tied it up at 6-6.

Raul Sanchez gave the Vikingos a 1-0 lead over Smithtown EMK but a confident  Smithtown hit back with two Sean Fitzgerald goals and one by Anthony Defelice to take a 3-1 lead into the half time break. An entertaining second half followed but neither team were able to hit the net and Smithtown held on for the victory.

Steven Flores netted twice for Whitman FC in their 4-0 win over the Outlaws White then Arnold Aguilera gave them the lead in the days final game against Smithtown EMK. Anthony Defelice hammered in an equalizer from close range as the teams reached the break all square at 1-1. Trevor Hubbard’s low drive gave Smithtown a 2-1 lead and Trevor added his second and Smithtowns third shortly after to hand Whitman their first defeat of the season, 3-1 the final score.

 

Week 5 Review – January 13, 2018

Weekly Review….Week 5

BU10

Southdown Flyers scored the first goal of the week when Jack Steinberg gave them the lead over Chaos. Gale Kurland tied it up for Chaos but Will Donaghy scored to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead at the half.
A tense second half saw Emma Wilk score a second equalizer for Chaos and it ended all even at 2-2.
Jack and Will were on Target again in the Flyers’ next game as they took a 2-0 lead into the half time break against the Destroyers. Jesse Giavacco pulled a goal back but it wasn’t enough and the Flyers held on for the 2-1 victory.
Harborfields Barca and Chaos played a competitive game but were unable to break the deadlock, chances came and went and the points were shared in the 0-0 tie.
Justin Valencia’s clinical finishing was the difference between Barca and the Destroyers. He scored all three in Barca’s 3-1 victory.

BU12/13

Super Sane Smithtown raced into a two goal lead over the CSH Vipers in the opening game of the BU12/13 division.
Luke Hunsucker and Alex Tylar scored before Dante Salgado pulled one back for the Vipers. Nick Kondenar extended Smithtowns lead soon after and there was still time for Ian Smith to score for the Vipers to make it 3-2 at half time. The second half was less free scoring with Smithtown benefiting from an own goal to make the final score 4-2.
Two first half goals by Lennon Harrington were enough to see Spurs collect the points in a 2-0 win over the Vipers.
Smithtown then made it two wins out of two with a comfortable 6-1 victory over Valencia, Alex Tylar scored a hat trick, Luke Hunsucker twice and Sam Mastrangelo once.
HBC Revolution won for the first time this season thanks to first half goals by Thomas Kaler and Malone Reardon. Lennon Harrington pulled one back in the second half for Spurs but Revolution held on for the 2-1 win.
Valencia picked up a victory in a tight game with the Revolution, Ben Selmer squeezed a shot in from a tight angle and it proved to be the games only goal.

BU11

Nate Vorhees’ deflected shot opened the scoring for the Sounders in their game with HBC Juventus. Kale Hobbs tied it up shortly after but second half strikes by Carter Hendrickson and Matthew Horyczum saw the Sounders win 3-1.
Tyler Lieberman netted twice for Celtic as they beat Juventus 4-0, Grant Kurland and Jeffrey Flores completed the scoring.
Liverpool took the points in an open game with the Sounders,  Dylan Gugin scored a hat trick in the 5-2 victory.
Tyler Lieberman scored again for Celtic and Jonathan Morales was also on the score sheet against the CSH Outlaws but Max Carino and Luca Mazzilli replied for the Outlaws making it 2-2. Both teams went in search of victory and two late Colin Lennon goals secured it for the Outlaws who came out on top 4-2.
Liverpool soon got into their stride against the Outlaws and a first half hat trick by Lennon Harrington helped them to a 5-2 half time lead. More goals followed after the break with Liverpool eventually winning 8-3. Dylan Gugin and Nick Kump each scored twice for Liverpool.

BU9

Giankarlos Bracero and Jake Marcus both hit the net twice in Chelsea’s 5-3 victory over Ajax, Michael Carrasco added the other goal in an entertaining game.
Chelsea then dominated against the Harborfields Bulls and Max Marcus scored four times in the 6-0 win.
Elijah Prywes and Daniel Chung scored for Ajax in their game against the Harborfields Bears but goals by Owen Guddemi and Joey Serventi evened it up for the Bulls. Elijah settled the game in the final seconds converting a penalty kick to give Ajax an exciting 3-2 win.
The Bulls and Bears played the division’s final game and it was the Bears who came out on top. Jack Hochheiser scored twice for the Bulls but two Joey Serventi strikes and one by Owen Guddemi helped the Bears on their way to a 3-2 victory.

GU12/13

Stella Quilty scored for the CSH Wrecking Balls in their game against the Legends but that was the only goal the Wrecking Balls managed and it was the Legends who came out on top 4-1. Kailyn MacKay scored twice and Kayleigh Bender once before Denise Murtaugh smashed the ball in from close range!
SH Herricanes remain unbeaten after five weeks of play and look like being the top seed in week 8’s play-offs.
Kathleen O’Mara and Britney Cisneros gave them a two goal half time lead over the Wrecking Balls but Emmy Evans pulled a goal back after the break and an exciting finale saw Amanda Paci level for CSH with only seconds remaining to make the final score 2-2.
Brooke Cheskes was on target twice and Caleigh Phelan once as the HBC Mighty Tigers recorded a 3-1 win over the Legends but their next game proved to be a lot tougher as Meredith Bodie and Britney Cisneros each scored hat tricks for the Herricanes who won 7-1.

BU13/14

Huntington United and HBC Arsenal played a competitive game with plenty of action at both ends. Ryan Gannon and Ben D’Agostino twice gave United the lead but Bryan Lizama tied it up once in the first half and then a second time with only 40 seconds remaining. Straight from the resulting kick off United pushed forward and Josh Chandra hit an unstoppable drive to win it at the death for United, 3-2.
Another close game followed as Chelsea FC took an early lead against Huntington United when Adrian Garcia finished at the back post. Ben Koch leveled for United soon after then Dylan Thody scored from close range to give United the lead. Luca Mazzilli then got free inside the box and scored for Chelsea to make it 2-2 at the break. A tight second half saw both keepers make important saves to keep their teams in it and it and it ended all square, 2-2.

Levittown White got off to a Flying start against Arsenal and were 4-1 up by half time. They added two more in the second half to record a 6-1 victory. Kyle Harrington scored four times and Max Bloess twice in a comfortable win.

Chelsea and Benfica were both missing players for their game and an end to game finished with Benfica winning their first game of the season. Lennon Harrington scored twice and Liam Harrington once but Goals by Patrick Soulias, David Lazaro and two by Bryan Lizama won it for Benfica.

The two Levittown teams battled it out next and honors ended even. Kyle Harrington scored for Green but Ryan Carmody tied it up for the White and it finished 1-1.

Benfica then won for a second time beating Levittown Green 4-1.

 

BU15

 

The BU15 division has provided some close competitive games so far and week 5 was no different. Vikingos had to come back twice against the Outlaws White to claim a 2-2 draw. Ian Kaish and Kyle Gallagher scored for the Whites but each time Raul Sanchez hit back with a goal for the Vikingos.

Whitman FC and the Vikingos played next and after a goalless first half it was Whitman FC who broke through. Arnold Aguilera scored and shortly after it was 2-0 after a defensive mix up caused a Vikingos own goal. Alan Calderon pulled a late goal back but Whitman held on to inflict a first defeat of the season on the Vikingos.

Kyle Gallagher, Ian Kaish, Pat Ahearn and Ben Higgins all scored as the Outlaws White beat Smithtown EMK 4-2.

Whitman FC completed a good day by coming out on top 2-1 for a second time against Outlaws Green. Peter Human and Arnold Aguilera scored the all important goals.

Smithtown finished the day with a victory beating the Outlaws Green 2-1.  Aubrey and Dylan Ehrlich were on target in another closely fought match.

 

BU18

 

Jack Wetzel’s close range finish gave Swaz Tekkers FC a 1-0 half time lead over H Footy. Footy recovered after the break and tied it up late on and it ended even at 1-1.

Mike Algeri scored two excellent individual goals to give H Footy the points against One Pound Fish. Danny Zihal pulled one back for Fish but Footy held on for the 2-1 victory.

Swaz Tekkers were always on top in their game with Bana UO and a Sean McArdle’s hat trick helped them on their way to a 5-0 triumph.

Eddie Serwan gave Bana a 1-0 lead over Fish in the division’s final game but two strikes by Danny Zihal turned the game around in the Fish’s favor and they came out on top 2-1.

Week 4 Review – January 6, 2018

BU10

The Destroyers got off to a good start with a 2-0 win over the Southdown Flyers. Noah Delello’s first half goal was followed by Declan O’Donnell’s second half strike. Declan then gave the Destroyers a half time lead in their second game against Chaos but Grant Kurland tied it up before Samantha Dinstell scored a last minute winner to give Chaos the points.

Harborfields Barca took the lead in their game with the Flyers thanks to Anthony Alfaro’s first half goal but Jack Steinberg turned the game around hitting the net twice for the Flyers. It looked like the Flyers would collect the victory until Edwin Gueava poked home the equalizer with only two seconds remaining to make the final score 2-2.

Edwin was also amongst the goals as Barca defeated Chaos 3-0. His goal along with a double by Brian Fuentes gave Barca an impressive win.

 

BU12/13

CSH Vipers took maximum points from their week 4 games to stay top of the division. Peter Levy, Connor Mitchel and Dante Salgado were on target in their 3-1 win over Valencia then Dylan Hayden and Peter Levy scored the goals that beat the HBC Revolution 2-1 in a close game.

Yohann Guerrier gave Valencia a 1-0 half time lead over HBC Spurs in another competitive match but Carlos Banegas hit a second half goal for Spurs and the honors ended even, 1-1.

Alex Tyler moved clear at the top of the BU12/13 Golden Boot table with five goals on the day. His hat trick in Super Sane Smithtown’s 5-0 victory over Spurs was followed by two more in the 4-0 win over the Revolution.

 

BU11

Max Carino and Zach Schnitzel gave CSH Outlaws a two goal lead over the Sounders before Josh Bohlen pulled one back in the second half. The Sounders pushed for an equalizer and came close before Josh Stimpfl wrapped it up with a third for the Outlaws, 3-1 the final score.

Max and Josh were also on target against HBC Juventus after Angelo Lucignano had given Juve an early lead. Colin Lennon also scored as the Outlaws won 3-1 for the second time.

Jonathan Morales and Grant Kurland both scored for Celtic as they raced into an early 2-0 lead over the Sounders. Liam Markell replied for the Sounders before half time and despite second half chances for both teams it finished 2-1 in Celtic’s favor.

Liverpool and Celtic shared the points in an entertaining 3-3 draw. Two Lennon Harrington goals and one by Dylan Gugin had given Liverpool a 3-1 half time lead but second half goals by Grant Kurland and Matt Bender added to Jonathan Morales’ first half strike meant it ended even.

Lennon Harrington and Dylan Gugin both scored twice in Liverpool’s 6-0 victory over Juventus. Nick Kump and Gary Alvarez also found the net in a confident display.

 

BU9

HBC Chelsea and Ajax both had successful days beating the Harborfields Bulls and Bears.

Eli Solinsky, Giancarlos Bracero and Jack Ziminski all scored for Chelsea in the 4-0 win over the Bulls. The Bears took the the lead in their game against Chelsea with a good finish by Luke Larocco but Jack Ziminski equalized with a fine solo effort before Jake Marcus netted twice to make it 3-1.

Daniel Chung scored four times and Elijah Prywes twice in the comfortable 7-1 victory over the Bulls but were made to work hard for the points against the Bears. Daniel and Elijah both found the net again but two Joey Serventi strikes made it 2-2. Elijah then finished clinically with less than two minutes to play to make the final score 3-2.

 

GU12/13

Jada Joseph, Jenna Kessler and Amelia Bentley scored the goals that gave the CSH Wrecking Balls a 3-0 win over HBC Mighty Tigers in the opening game in the GU12/13 division. The Tigers roared back and picked up a victory in their next game against the Legands. Brooke Cheskes, Sofia Winger and Lucy MacInnes scored the goals in the 3-1 win.

The Herricanes then won back to back games to stay top of the division beating the Wrecking Balls 2-1 and the Legends 4-1. Britney Cisneros scored both goals in the win over the Wrecking Balls and Kathleen O’Mara netted twice against the Legends.

 

BU13/14

Arsenal and Chelsea got the BU13/14 division underway and it was Chelsea who struck first when Liam Harrington’s drive found the corner of the net. Arsenal soon tied it with a Patrick Soulias goal but Chelsea regained the lead mid way through the second half when Lennon Harrington scored from close range and they held on for the 2-1 victory.

Arsenal then found themselves 2-0 down at half time against Levittown Green, Anders Tung and Max Bloess scored in a dominant first half display. Arsenal turned it around after the break and Patrick Soulias pulled a goal back before Bryan Lizama tied it up. Both teams went in search of a winner but it ended 2-2.

Chelsea took the lead against Levittown White when Liam Harrington’s shot was deflected into the net. Kaitlyn Tung dribbled into the box and tied it up shortly after for the White’s but Liam Harrington gave Chelsea a second lead mid way through the second half with a shot from distance and they held on for their second 2-1 win of the day.

Huntington United and Levittown Green played another tight game and it was United who came out on top holding on for a 3-2 victory. Ben Koch, Dylan Thody and Jack O’Brien scored the goals for United who then beat Benfica to stay top of the division. Dylan Thody netted twice in the 4-0 win over Benfica.

Max Bloess was the man of the match for Levittown White scoring four times as the Whites recorded a confident 5-1 victory over Benfica.

 

BU15

Whitman FC had two hard fought wins in week four completing back to back 2-1 victories. Peter Human and Sebastian Koch were on target against the Outlaws White then two Steven Flores goals were enough to take the points against Smithtown EMK.

The Outlaws Green and Outlaws White faced off and the Greens came out on top of a very open game winning 5-3. Chris Roberts and Ben Higgins each scored twice with Kyle Gallagher replying twice for the Whites.

The Outlaws Green then played an exciting game against the Vikingos. Goals by Chris Roberts and Ryan Keegan  kept the scores close but ultimately weren’t enough as a hat trick by the Vikingos’ Raul Sanchez and one from Alan Calderon saw them take the points in the 4-2 triumph.

The Vikingos had to be at their best again to see off Smithtown EMK. Goals by Andrew Orego and Adrian Astudillo were enough to give them a 2-0 victory in another end to end game.

 

BU18

Swaz Trekkers FC were on fire in their week four games and won both games 6-0 ! Golden Boot leader Josh Yanuck and Dylan Deloia each scored twice against H Footy then Dylan went one better scoring a hat trick in the comfortable victory over One Pound Fish.

Aidan Costello’s two goals gave H Footy a two goal cushion at half time against Bana UO, his second an excellent glancing header. Bana recovered in the second half and goals by Chris Burnie and Jake Moisanu made it a 2-2 game. Alex Costello had a chance to complete his hat trick with the last kick of the game when H Footy were awarded a penalty kick but he dragged his shot wide and the points were shared.

Another close game followed as Bana UO and One Pound Fish went head to head. Jimmy Desanti broke the deadlock mid way through the second half with a neat chip over the keeper but Alex Triolo tied it up shortly after and it ended 1-1.

 

 

Week 3 Review – December 30, 2017

BU10
Jesse Giovacco was the hero for the Destroyers scoring the games only goal against Barca in the opening match of the BU10 division. Jesse was also on target in the Destroyers second game as they went two for two beating the Southdown Flyers 3-1, Noah Delello and Owen Lakhani scored the other two goals.
Grant Kurland netted a hat trick and Allie Alloggiamento scored one as Chaos recorded a comfortable 4-0 victory over Barca. Chaos then overcame the Flyers 2-1, Grant Kurland and Samantha Dinstell scored before Jack Steinberg pulled one back for the Flyers late on.
BU12/13
Ian Smith’s second half hat trick helped the CSH Vipers to a 6-2 triumph over Super Sane Smithtown in a free scoring game. Smithtown tightened it up for their second match against Valencia who’s defense also held firm in an even game that ended 0-0.
Ian Smith, Peter Levy and Dante Salgado were on target as the Vipers beat Spurs 3-0. Spurs bounced back to beat HBC Revolution 1-0 thanks to Lennon Harrington’s first half shot. The Revolution also went down 1-0 to Valencia, Yovanni Rivera scored the games only goal in the second half.
BU11
Ryan Perillo scored twice and Angelo Lucignano once as HBC Juventus beat the Sounders 3-0 to record their first win of the season. Juventus then played an end to end game against Celtic and Jordan Rivera’s second half goal looked to have given them a point after Jonathan Morales had opened the scoring for Celtic. Gale Kurland’s shot with only a minute remaining proved to be the difference though as Celtic came out on top 2-1.
Nick Kump and Lennon Harrington both scored hat tricks as Liverpool eased past the Sounders 6-0.
CSH Outlaws then lost a close game as Celtic hit another late winner. This time Grant Kurland was on hand to score the only goal of a hard fought match.
The Outlaws recovered well and beat Liverpool 2-0 thanks to goals by Luca Mazzilli and Andrew Shammah.
BU9
HBC Chelsea had a productive day with two back to back victories. Eli Solinsky scored twice in the 5-3 win over Ajax and was on target again against the Harborfields Bears. Jake Perillo, Jake Marcus and Chase Podlas also found the net in the 4-1 win.
Elijah Prywes also scored a double as Ajax beat the Harborfields Bulls 4-1 before the Bears shut out the Bulls 3-0 in the divisions final game of the day. Joey Serventi, Dylan Kast and Tyler Pearl all scored in the win.
GU12
Caleigh Phelan scored four times and still ended up on the losing team! The HBC Tigers fought back from 4-2 down to tie it up 4-4 against the CSH Wrecking Balls but Riley Murtaugh scored the winner with twenty second remaining to settle an entertaining game. Stella Quilty hit a hat trick and Emmy Evans scored earlier for the Wrecking Balls.
The Legends and the Wrecking Balls then played in another match that could’ve gone either way. Reece Rinaldi scored for CSH but Jillian Panos’ goal for the Legends meant the points were shared in the 1-1 draw.
SH Herricanes had convincing wins over the Tigers and Legends. Kathleen O’Mara scored a hat trick, Britney Cisneros netted twice and Hannah O’Neil once in the 6-1 victory over the Tigers. Britney and Kathleen were also on target against the Legends. Kallie Eichner, Charlotte Pearlman and Meredith Boise completed the scoring in the 5-1 triumph.
BU13/14
Chelsea FC started the day with a 5-0 victory over Benfica. Liam Harrington opened the scoring and goals by Matteo Mazzilli, Shay Daly, Lennon Harrington and Alex Braunstein followed. Arsenal then had a comfortable win over Benfica, Jason Benitez scored a first half hat trick and Bryan Lizama added two after the break in the 7-1 victory.
Lindsay McHugh gave Levittown Green a 1-0 half time lead against Chelsea but Lennon Harrington tied it up shortly after half time. Both teams had chances to win it but it ended all even at 1-1.
Two Jack O’Brien goals were just enough to give Huntington United a 2-1 win over Arsenal. Bryan Lizama tied it up for Arsenal in the second half but Jack’s second proved to be the winner.
The two Levittown teams then played for the first time this season and it was Green who came out on top beating White 3-1. Lindsey McHugh, Kyle Harrington and Nolan Kaveney were the scorers for the triumphant Greens.
Ben D’Agostino gave Huntington United a first half lead over Levittown White but a goal either side of half time by Max Bloess turned it around for the Whites who held on for an exciting 2-1 victory.
BU15
Smithtown EMK enjoyed a successful afternoon winning both of their week 3 games. Dylan Ehrlich opened the scoring and Trevor Hubbard added a second in the 2-0 victory over the Outlaws White. Trevor then netted a hat trick against the Outlaws Green and Noah Rosenblatt added two in the 5-1 win.
Alan Calderon scored the only goal of an intense game as the Vikingos overcame the Outlaws White late in the second half.
The Vikingos then had to come from behind to claim a point against Whitman FC after Chris Schindler gave Whitman a second half lead. Raul Sanchez was on hand to finish clinically to ensure the Vikingos remain unbeaten so far this season.
Whitman FC’s 3-2 win over the Outlaws Green means they also stay unbeaten. Arnold Aguilera, Jayden Erickson and Steven Flores gave Whitman a 3-0 lead but late goals by Ian Kaish and Michael Kleinman for the Greens left Whitman holding on to a slender lead for the final minutes.
BU18
H Footy led three times against One Pound Fish but had to settle for a share of the points in an entertaining 4-4 draw. Carlos Godoy was on target twice for H Footy and Ethan Kraus twice for Fish.
Ian McDougal’s goal then gave STFC a 1-0 lead over H Footy but Cameron Entwhistle tied it up shortly after as the game came to life in the seconf half. Golden Boot leader Josh Yanuck won it for SWFC with a close range finish with only seconds remaining, 2-1 to SWFC the final score.
Austin Griffiths scored twice in the first half as STFC took a 2-0 lead against One Pound Fish. Two second goals by Will Nasta, the second a thumping drive to the top corner, made the final sore 4-1 in STFC’s favor.

Week 2 Review – December 23, 2017

WEEKLY REVIEW……Week 2

BU10

Chaos moved to the top of the table with two victories in week 2. Grant Kurland scored twice and Gale Kurland once as Chaos raced into a 3-0 first half lead. The Flyers had a better second half and two Jack Steinberg goals got them back into the game but Chaos held on for the 3-2 win. Gale and Grant were also on target against the Destroyers and Sam Dinstell added a third as Chaos scored three second half goals to win 3-1.

Justin Valencia scored a hat trick for Barca in their convincing 3-0 win over the Flyers, he also found the net in the 2-2 draw with the Destroyers. Carlos Morales scored Barca’s second but Noah Deiello’s opening goal and Declan O’Donnell’s late equalizer evened it up for the Destroyers.

BU12/13

CSH Vipers and Super Sane Smithtown won both of their week 2 games to go level at the top of the division with 7 points each. Peter Levy netted twice and Dante Salgado once in the 3-0 win over Valencia then second half strikes by Ian Smith and Harry Alba gave them a 2-0 victory over HBC Revolution. Smithtown also beat the Revolution, Gavin Reis’ late goal giving them a 1-0 win. Alex Tylar then scored two second half goals as Smithtown beat HBC Spurs 2-0.

Yovanni Rivera and Bobby Zydor were on target for Valencia against Spurs but a goal by Lorenzo Christiano and two second half goals by Lennon Harrington gave Spurs the 3-2 victory.

BU11

CSH Outlaws had a good week beating Juventus 5-0 then the Sounders 4-2. Josh Stimpfl scored a hat trick against Juventus. Liverpool also took maximum points.

Nick Kump and Lennon Harrington both scored hat tricks in the 7-1 win over Juventus. A close game with Celtic followed and after a goalless first half Grant Kurland gave Celtic a 1-0 lead. Liverpool replied with two quick goals, Nick Kump equalized from close range before Ryan Chung’s shot found the corner of the net. Lennon Harrington’s back heel made it 3-1 before Jonathan Morales’ late goal for Celtic meant it ended 3-2.

Celtic and the Sounders also played a close game and this time Celtic came out on top 3-2. Two Nate Vorhees goals in the second half weren’t enough for the Sounders as Jonathan Morales’ first half opener and two goals after the break by Matt Bender gave Celtic the points.

BU9

Chase Podlas gave Chelsea a 1-0 first half lead in their game against Ajax. Elijah Prywes equalized after the break for Ajax and despite plenty of pressure and chances for Chelsea it was Ajax who broke out and scored a late winner with Daniel Chung scoring from close range to make it 2-1 in Ajax’s favor. Daniel was also on target again in Ajax’s next game as they beat the Harborfields Bears 2-0.

Chelsea recovered to beat the Harborfields Bulls 5-1, the goals coming from Jake Marcus, Patrick Dalien, Chase Podlas, Alex Arvelo and Dylan Schlossman. The Bulls and Bears then played an end to end game with the Bulls eventually coming out on top 4-3. Liam Bayne scored twice for the Bulls and Luke Larocco twice for the Bears.

GU12/13

A hat trick by Jenna Kessler and two goals by Riley Murtagh helped CSH Wrecking Balls to a 7-1 win over the Legends in the Gu12/13 division. The Legends improved in their next game but went down 1-0 to the HBC Mighty Tigers, Caleigh Phelan’s second half strike was the only goal of the game.

The SH Herricanes and the Wrecking Balls played an exciting game that saw Britney Cisneros give the Herricanes a 1-0 half time lead. Jenna Kessler’s second have goal looked to have given CSH a share of the points but Britney Cisneros struck with seconds remaining to win it for the Herricanes. Britney also found the net twice in the Herricanes next game against HBC Mighty Tigers. Kathleen O’Mara went one better and scored a hat trick in the 5-0 triumph.

BU13/14

Huntington United had a good day with two impressive wins in the BU13/14 division. Jack O’Brien scored twice and Jack Noble once in a convincing 3-0 victory over Chelsea FC then Jack O’Brien added another two against Leveittown Green in the 4-2 win. Chelsea and Levittown Green both bounced back with victories in their next games. Bryan Lizama gave Arsenal the lead twice over Chelsea but each time Liam Harrington responded with goals to tie it up. Lennon Harrington then volleyed Chelsea into the lead and wrapped it up late on with his second and Chelsea’s fourth to make it 4-2.

Jack Longabucca was on target twice for Levittown Green as they beat Benfica by the same score. Nolan Kaveney and Nick Giannaris also found the net in the 4-2 victory.

Levittown White and Arsenal played an entertaining game that somehow ended goalless. Jonathan Shank in the Arsenal goal and Dylan Labonte in the White goal both pulled off numerous saves to earn a point for their respective teams. Dylan was also on form in the Levittown White’s next game as they held on to beat Benfica 2-1. Ryan Carmody’s second half goal proved to be the winner in another tight game.

BU15

The Outlaws Green and White teams faced of for the first time this season and shared eight goals in 4-4 draw. Patrick Ahearn scored twice for the Green team as they recovered from being 4-2 down.

The Vikingos were too strong for the Green team in the division’s second game, Alan Calderon, Andrew Orego and Raul Sanchez scored the goals in the 3-0 win. The Vikingos then played an end to end game with Smithtown EMK who were 1-0 up at the half thanks to an Anthony DeFelice strike. The Vikingos second half pressure finally paid off when Alan Calderon equalized and a late goal from Sebastian Blass gave them an exciting 2-1 victory.

Jayden Erickson and Chris Schindler both scored twice in Whitman FC’s comfortable 4-0 win over the Outlaws White before Smithtown and Whitman played out a tight 0-0 tie to finish the day.

BU18

H Footy and Bana UO opened the BU18 division games and despite plenty of goalmouth action neither team were able to break the deadlock. Luke McLaughlin in the Bana goal and John Borelli in the H Footy goal performed heroics to keep clean sheets.

Swaz Tekkers FC had no problem scoring and put six past Bana UO. Josh Yanuck was on fire and struck five times!

Adam Debus scored the only goal of a very competitive game for One Pound Fish in their match with H Footy. Adam was on target again as One Pound Fish took a two goal lead over Swaz Tekkers FC. Danny Zihal also found the net for Fish before Josh Yanuck pulled one back for Tekkers.
