Week 1 – Weekly Review December 14th/15th

WEEKLY REVIEW – WEEK 1 – DECEMBER 14TH/15TH 2018

BU18

The BU18 got underway with Miso Hungry collecting the points in a 3-0 win over Toft United thanks to two goals from Ryan Sullivan and one from Danny Alnwick. Austin Debus scored twice in Miso’s next game as they went two for two beating Knockers FC 4-1.

Michael Algeiri scored twice for Toft United in their 2-0 victory over Don Tomas FC who then recovered to beat Uncrustables 2-1 thanks to Tyler Axelson who netted both.

Banterous Brothers came out on top 3-2 in their game with Knockers FC, Garrett Rospass scored twice and Kyle Kelly once.

Uncrustables and Pollos FC played out a competitive 0-0 draw before Pollos put 5 past Banterous Brothers, Erin Aydin scored twice in the 5-0 win.

BU12/13

AJ Specter and Michael Burke scored for Valencia in their 2-0 victory over CSH Spartans in the opening game in the BU12/13 division. Spartans then tied an entertaining game with Northport Sounders, Mohammed Hajee and J’o Tsoumpas were on target for the Spartans with Cyrus Dennis and Matt Horyczun replying for the Sounders.

Liverpool opened their season with a 6-0 win over Valencia, Lennon Harrington scored four times with Luca Mazzilli and Dylan Gugin adding one each.

Thomas Carluccio hit a hat trick as Hbc Celtic started their campaign with a 5-1 triumph over Northport Sounders, Angelo Lucignano and Jonathan Morales also scored. Their second game proved more challenging and despite keeper Royale Baker making some impressive saves he couldn’t stop Liverpool from finding the net in the 2nd half. Lennon Harrington scored a hat trick in the 6-0 win, Dylan Gugin, Mark Meihoefer and Keaton Levine completed the scoring.

BU10/11

Kings Park United started the season with two wins opening with a 2-0 victory over Milan. Matthew Langino and Brendan Glenn scored the goals and both were on target again as United beat CSH Tornados 3-1, Yohann Guerrier also found the net.

An Elijah Prywes hat trick got Milan back on track as the beat Destroyers FC 3-0.

Southdown Flyers also recorded a victory over the Destroyers winning 3-1 with two goals by Jack Steinberg and one from Quinn Rinaldi. Jack scored another two in the 4-0 win over Ajax and the CSH Tornados claimed their first win with a 5-1 triumph over Ajax, Walter Kusterbeck hit the target twice for the Tornados.

GU11/12

CSH Orange Crush and South Huntington Wave got the girls U11/12 division up and running and it was the Crush who got the two points winning a close game 2-1. Sierra Riepe gave the Crush a 1-0 half time lead and Leigh Evans extended it after the break. Gabby Perciballi pulled one back for the Wave but the Crush held on.

Jamyn Husselbeck and Anna Sard scored for the HBC Lady Vikings as they opened their season with a 2-1 win over the Orange Crush. Madyn Kelb found the net for the Crush but they couldn’t find a second in a scoreless second half.

Gale Kurland and Asley Austin both scored hat tricks as HBC Chaos recorded a 6-0 win over SH Wave.

The Power then then showed good defensive qualities keeping two clean sheets in their games, unfortunately they couldn’t find the net either and tied competitive games 0-0 with the Lady Vikings then Chaos.

BU9

With Harborfields Green and Harborfields White not playing only three games took place in the BU9 division. Stephan Vigo and Andras Iuvala scored the goals for Port United as they beat Cosmos 2-1 in the opening game. Hbc Juventus started their season strongly with two convincing victories over the Cosmos and Port United. Brendan O’Connor scored a second half hat trick in the 6-0 win over Cosmos, Max Manu scored twice and Zach Smith once. Brendan followed that with a second hat trick against Port Utd, Zach Smith and Gillian Kurland added further goals in the 5-1 win.

BU14/15

Ian Smith scored twice for the CSH Vipers as they got their season off to a winning start by beating Brentwood Tigers 4-2. Will Brancato and Peter Leavy also netted with Rene Cruz and Angel Fuentes replying for Brentwood.

Ian repeated the feat in the Vipers second game scoring both in the 2-1 win over Smithtown Super Sayan Rebound.

David Lazaro was on target twice as Arsenal opened up with a 5-0 win over Brentwood the Smithtown rebounded with a 5-1 victory over Hbc Revolution. Alex Tylar scored two with Gavin Reis, Tommy Hyland and Sam Mastrangelo getting one apiece.

Arsenal led at half time against Huntington United thanks to a goal by David Lazaro but an end to end encounter saw Ben Koch and Ryan Gannon turn it around for United in the second half as they held on for the 2-1 win.

Christian Lizama hit the net twice for Benfica against the Hbc Revolution but it wasn’t enough as Hbc replied with four goals to win it 4-2. Andy Martinez, Eric Sandoval, Noel Silva and Aidan Richter all got on the score sheet.

Huntington Utd took the lead over Chelsea with a deflected own goal in the first half but Chelsea’s Chris Thorsen tied it up early in the second half and despite late pressure form United it ended all square at 1-1.

Matthew Mallen and Luciano Larrea each scored twice as Hbc City saw off Benfica 5-1. Luciano was on target again against Chelsea equalizing an early Chris Thorsen shot. Lennon Harrington’s strike broke the deadlock late in the game before Ian Franklin added another with the last kick of the game to give Chelsea a 3-1 victory.

BU16

Brentwood Napoli benefited from a bizarre own goal to take an early lead against the Outlaws in the division’s opening game. The Outlaws got stronger as the game went on and goals by Michael Pinzone, Niko Rzehak, James Philipis and Patrick Ahearn saw them triumph 4-1.

The Outlaws found it a lot harder in their next game against against the Uniondale Vikingos losing 5-0.

The Vikingos won by the same score in their next game beating Whitman FC, Raul Sanchez claimed a hat trick and Adrian Astudillo scored twice.

Smithtown EMK won comfortably against Brentwood. Alex Tylar, Tyler Aubree and Sean Fitzgerald all scored twice in the 6-0 victory.

The days final game saw Smithtown and Whitman FC go head to head and a tight first half ended goalless. Lake Hayes eventually broke the deadlock for Smithtown mid way through the second half and Alex Tylar added a second to give Smithtown an impressive 2-0 win.
