Week 2 – Weekly Review December 21st/22nd

BU18

Uncrustables opened up week two with a 3-1 win over Knockers FC, Nate Gegwich, Aidan Costello and Stephan Mazut scored the goals. They were soon brought back down to earth as Toft United beat them 7-1. Michael Algeiri scored a hat trick and Ronan Carroll added two.
Carlos Godoy scored twice for Pollos FC in their 4-1 victory over Knockers FC then followed it up with a hat trick as Pollos beat Don Tomas FC 7-1, Eren Aydin also hit two.
Banterous Brothers won a close game with Toft United, Mike Kucza scored the only goal in a tight first half and Kyle Kelly added one more in the second half to secure a 2-0 win.
Jonathan Osmun was on target twice as Miso Hungry overcame Don Tomas 6-0, Austin Debus then scored twice as Miso Hungry went two for two on the night beating Banterous Brothers 3-1.

BU12/13

Liverpool continued their strong start to the season with two convincing wins over Northport Sounders then CSH Spartans. Lennon Harrington scored four times in the 6-0 victory over the Sounders and added two against the Spartans with Keaton Levine claiming a hat trick in the 7-1 win.
Jonathan Morales scored the only goal of the game for Celtic in their match up against Valencia then Grant Kurland then netted a hat trick as Celtic beat the Spartans 6-0 to record two victories.
AJ Spector, Cristian Alvizures and Yovanni Rivera scored the goals for Valencia as they came out on top 3-1 over the Sounders.

BU10/11

Southdown Flyers got the points in their game against CSH Tornados, Jack Steinberg scored twice in the 4-2 victory.
The Tornados then lost again by the same scoreline to HBC Milan, Jayden Castro netted a goal in each half for Milan who then won 6-5 against HBC Ajax. Jayden scored another two goals and Elijah Prywes hit a hat trick as Milan took a commanding first half lead. Grant Kurland scored five second half goals for Ajax to make it a nail biting finish but Milan held on.
Kings Park United went two for two on the day beating the Flyers 2-1 and then the Destroyers 3-0. Matthew Langino and Michael Canonico scored for United after Owen Gordon’s opener for the Flyers them Matthew added two more in the victory over the Destroyers.
The Destroyers came back to win their second game 3-2 against HBC Ajax. A close game saw the Destroyers lead three times with goals from Owen Lakhani, Jesse Giavacco then a second from Owen which proved to be the winner.

GU11/12

HBC Lady Vikings and South Huntington Wave tied the first game in the girls division, neither team could find the net in a close 0-0 game.
Gale Kurland scored a hat trick as Chaos beat the Vikings 6-1. Gale was also on target with a late second half winner in a tight 1-0 victory over CSH Orange Crush.
S.H.Wave took a first half lead against the Power when Christina Saitzyk found the net. That looked like being the winner until Morgan Walcott tied it up for the Power with only 30 seconds remaining.
Morgan was on the score sheet again as the Power beat CSH 2-0, Amanda Burrack also scored as the Power continued their unbeaten start to the season.

BU9

Henry Sweeney and Antonio Laudicina got the goals as HBC Juventus claimed a 2-1 victory over Harborfields White. Juventus made it two wins on the day beating Port United 6-0, Tyler Striga scored twice.
Harborfields White recovered to beat HBC Cosmos 3-2, Weston Ritzi scored twice and Chase Moroni once in close game that was settled in the final minute.
Liam Bane, Matthew Marvin and Jack Hochheiser all hit the net in Harborfields Green’s 3-0 win over the Cosmos. Liam then scored twice along with Owen Guddemi as the Green’s beat Port United 6-0.

BU14/15

HBC won the opening game in the BU14/15 division beating CSH Vipers 2-1. David McCalla and Alex Bogdani got the goals for City with Peter Leavy replying for the Vipers.
HBC Revolution were also successful against the Vipers with goals by Noel Silva, Thomas Kaler and Andy Martinez helping them to a 3-1 victory.
Smithtown SS Rebound beat HBC City 4-0 thanks to goals by Alex Tylar, Thomas Hyland, Sam Mastrangelo and Gavin Reis while Huntington United dominated against Revolution, Jack O’Brien scored twice in the 6-0 win.
Andre Stanco and Davis Lizama scored the goals that gave HBC Arsenal a 2-1 victory over Smithtown before Benfica and Huntington United tied 0-0. United dominated for long spells but couldn’t find a way past an inform Jonathan Shank in the Benfica goal.
David Lizama gave Arsenal the lead against Chelsea and scored a second before the break but they went in 3-2 down. Chelsea added two more after the break to win 5-2, Ian Franklin top scored with two goals.
Nick Constant netted both of Benfica’s goals in their 2-1 win over Brentwood Tigers then Lennon Harington scored five times in Chelsea’s 8-2 triumph over Brentwood in the divisions final game of the day. 

BU16

Lake Hayes struck twice for Smithtown EMK as they beat the unlucky Outlaws 2-1.
Dan Costello looked like his goal had secured a point but a last ditch penalty kick by Lake gave EMK the points.
A second half goal by Ben Koch and an unfortunate own goal gave Whitman FC a 2-0 over the Outlaws. Ben then scored a hat trick in the 6-0 victory over Brentwood Napoli, Daniel Deleo also netted twice and Sebastian Koch once.
Uniondale Vikingos led 2-1 at half time against Smithtown EMK thanks to goals by Raul Sanchez and Sebastian Blass but EMK hit back and two more Lake Hayes goals and one from Nathan Shin saw Smithtown win an exciting game 3-2.
The Vikingos led again in the days final game against Brentwood, Raul Sanchez scored twice and Sebastian Blass once as they went into half time 3-2 up.
Louis Alvarado and Maynor Rodriguez scored first half goals for Brentwood and Sonick Bouquet had the final day netting the equalizer, 3-3 the final score.
