Week 4 Review

WEEKLY REVIEW…..Week 4

BU8

HBC Everton got their second win of the season beating the CSH Warriors. CJ Marino opened the scoring before Zach Hammerman doubled the lead with a powerful drive that found the top corner. Sean Grogan pulled a goal back for the Warriors but Sebastian Lippman made it 3-1 and CJ Marino scored his second before half time. The second half saw Hudson Bilbao extend the lead further before a Warriors own goal completed the scoring, 6-1 to Everton the final score.

FC Sesa and HBC Milan went into their game with perfect records of three wins each. Sesa took an early lead when Joseph Mejias sent an excellent free kick from distance into the Milan goal. Joseph then doubled the lead with another free kick before Luke Copland pulled one back for Milan before half time. The second half saw plenty of action but no more goals as Sesa held on for the 2-1 victory. That result guarantees Sesa a place in the play off final in week six.

Elwood Stars and Syosset Red shared four goals in a well balanced game. The Stars led thanks to goals by Sal Capace and Matt Greer but Max Rauch got Syosset back in the game before half time and Zach Finkelstein tied it up after the break to make it 2-2. Both teams had chances to win it but it ended all square.

BU12

Kings Park Dynamite and South Huntington Sharpshooters played an even first half with both teams unable to break the deadlock. The Dynamite exploded into action in the second half and goals by Luke Nelson, JD Anderson and two from Jamie Siccardi secured a 4-0 victory.

Stonybrook Bayern took a 1-0 lead into half time against the HBC Wolverines thanks to another Brennon Foster goal. The undefeated Wolverines managed to turn it around in the second half and two strikes from John Guerrera were enough to give them a 2-1 triumph to maintain their 100% record.

GU9

Massapequa Attitudes had Bridget Murphy to thank for her hat trick in their game with the Northport Royals. Mary Stork was also on target twice and Rachel Chillemi once in the 6-1 victory. Maraid Gayer was the Royals’ scorer.

Life Elite ’05 were also winners in the GU9 division with a 5-0 victory over the Dix Hills Gummy Bears. Sammy Goldberg top scored for the Elite with two goals, the others coming from Sabrina Abenante, Ashley Pantano and Madison Alaimo.

BU11

CSH Rapids took a 3-1 lead into the half time break against the Dirty Dozen. Tyler Pennetta, Danny Burns and Nicolas Valenti all finding the net with Christopher Roberts replying for the Dozen. Ian Kaish and Nico Rzehak scored second half goals for the Dozen but Camden Vittaglioni’s goal meant the Rapids came out on top 4-3.

Charles Junior was on target twice for Brentwood in their 5-0 victory over the HBC Kings. Herris Robbles, Eric Castro and Nathanial Austin completed the scoring to send Brentwood on the way to the play off final in week six.

BU13/14

Chris Guevera’s goal for the South Huntington Sledgehammers was the only goal of a close first half against the Vortex. The Vortex had opportunities to tie it up in the second half but couldn’t find a way past the ‘Hammers keeper Corey Pearlman who stopped two breakaways. Tim Mahadeo made it 2-0 shortly after to make sure the ‘Hammers took the three points.

Hempstead EOC Leopards lost their unbeaten record in an excellent game against the Uniondale Leones. David Calix scored the only goal of the first half for the Leones and after both teams missed second half chances David scored his second slipping the ball past the Leopards’ keeper. 2-0 the final score.

GU10

CSH Crushers went four points clear at the top of the GU10 table with a 4-1 win over South Huntington Stars. Kaylee Rappel, Petra Brown, Emily Plachta and Taylor Cullen all scored for the Crushers, Alexis Barbery finding the net for the Stars.

Life Elite ’03 had a comfortable victory over the Uniondale Panteras. Brooke Godsell scored twice in the 5-0 win. Gabby Martinez, Tori Walker and Ella Bower added the others.

BU7

Jake Hatton and Jagger Lucas scored twice each in the HBC Crew’s game with HBC Napoli. Blake Donahue and Chris Rinaldi added further goals before Logan Zipper scored a consolation goal for Napoli, 6-1 the final score.

Plainedge Bulldogs maintained their 100% record with a comfortable 5-1 win over HBC Madrid. AJ Gulino scored a first half hat trick and Alex Katsaounis netted one as the Bulldogs raced into a 4-0 half time lead. Eric Gusavitch scored a fifth for the Bulldogs before Dylan Gugin pulled one back for Madrid in the last minute.

Nikko Tenedero scored a hat trick and Jack Pendrick netted twice for Syosset Madrid in their 7-3 win over Kings Park Xtreme. Miles Nevins and and Dylan Geisser were also on target for Madrid who are now joint second in the table. Alex Squillacioti added two more to his total to stay top of the Golden Boot table and Christian Hall added the other for the Xtreme.

BU9

Dix Hills’ Tyler Glassberg  again demonstrated his finishing ability with four first half goals in the Gunners game against HBC Arsenal. Jack Zaremski came out of the Dix Hills goal to score twice in the second half and Nick Oprea added a seventh before Sean Kozodoy and Aleksander Proniewski, with a neat header, pulled goals back for Arsenal. 7-2 the final score.

Kevin Henris Gave Commack Fury a first minute lead over Syosset White with a well taken penalty kick. Max Franz leveled for the Whites before half time but a second penalty kick, this time converted by Zach Fawaz, restored the Fury’s lead in the second half. Max Franz scored his second of the game and Kosei Yuki added a third as the Whites came from behind again to win it 3-2.

Syosset Reds led 2-0 at half time against Kings Park Arsenal thanks to two Zach McPhee goals. Kings Park turned it around in the second half with two goals by Jack Jimenez and one from Kevin Webb completing the comeback, 3-2 the final in this one.

BU9/10

HBC Liverpool and the Annoying Oranges both secured victories and a place in the play off final in the BU9/10 division. The Oranges beat HBC Smash 3-0 thanks to goals by Gavin Kata, Enzo Pupillo and Wilmer Flores while Liverpool put six goals past HBC Spurs. Gavin Wisotsky scored a hat trick, CJ Marino twice and Owen Reyes once in the 6-1 victory. Shane Longin scored for Spurs in the first half.

Nico Corea added two to his goals tally but it wasn’t enough for HBC City who went down 3-2 to the CSH Vikings. Danny Higgins was also on target twice and Nick Lacapra once for the Vikings.

GU13/14

South Huntington Falcons and Hauppauge Explosion became the first two teams this season to tie 0-0! Both teams had periods of pressure but were unable to break the deadlock as the Falcons claimed their first point of the summer.

Impact FC and Hempstead EOC Lady Panthers were equally matched in their game and were also 0-0 at half time. The Panthers had their chances but the Impact’s Catherine Hayes scored the only goal of the game to take the Impact three points clear at the top.
