SUMMER ’13  WEEKLY REVIEW……

Week 2

BU8

HBC Milan and CSH Warriors got week two underway and it was Milan who took control early on with goals by Shay Daly and Liam Harrington. Two strikes by Justin Gennat and another from Gavin Wisotsky added to the total and made the final score 5-0.

Finn McCloskey gave Elwood Stars an early lead against FC Sesa but it wasn’t long before Alex Redzematov tied it up. Anthony Bell then gave Stars a 2-1 lead before half time and Finn McCloskey added a third after the break as Elwood looked to be heading for victory. FC Sesa pulled one back when Jack Bonura found the net and Alen Redzematov brought Sesa level with his second goal of the game. With only a few minutes remaining Jack Bonura completed the comeback scoring the winner, and his second, for Sesa. 4-3 the outcome.

Syosset Red and HBC Everton served up more excitement in the day’s third game. The Reds took the lead through Max Rauch but two quick goals by CJ Marino then gave Everton the lead. Max was soon on target for the Reds again to make it 2-2 but two Gavin Wisotsky goals made it 4-2 at half time in Everton’s favor. Dylan Rauch pulled a goal back for Syosset then Andrew Brotman made it 4-4 as the Reds pressured Everton’s goal. In an end to end finish Everton’s CJ Marino completed his hat trick when his shot found the net to give HBC the three points, 5-4 the final in this one.

BU12

HBC Wolverines came out on top against the South Huntington Sharpshooters. Nickolas Dittmer scored twice and Emmy Forbes, Nickolas Mazza and Ryan Szaba once in their 5-0 victory.

Stonybrook Bayern also had a good day with a 4-0 win over Kings Park Explosion, Brennan Foster was the hero netting a hat trick. Ben Witover added the fourth to give Bayern their first points of the season.

GU9

Northport Royals and Life FC had no problems finding the net in their GU9 game. Mariad Gayer scored twice and Natalie McKenna once for the Royals but they were beaten 8-3. Ashley Pantano and Jessica Banta each scored two goals for Life, the others coming from Sam Goldberg, Madison Alaimo, Gianna Fucile and Kailey Schneidler.

Massapequa Attitudes were in action against Dix Hills Gummy Bears who were playing their first game of the season. Rachel Chilemi was on target twice for the ‘Attitudes’ with Nikki Buffolino, Mary Stork and Julia Gagliano adding one each in their 6-1 win. Jayden Piraino scored the only goal for the Bears.

GU10

CSH Crushers remain unbeaten after their 2-0 win over Life Elite 03. Meredith McPhalin scored the only goal of the first half before keeping a clean sheet in goal in the second half with some excellent saves. Abbie Grogan added a second for the Crushers after the break who are now joint top with South Huntington Stars.

The Stars also had a good day against the Uniondale Panteras. Alexis Barberry and Kristy Chillemi gave them a 2-0 lead at half time and although Ashley Hernandez scored twice for the Panteras it was the Stars who came out on top. Kristy scored her second of the game and Kristen Salas added one more to make the final score 4-2.

BU11

The HBC Kings and CSH Rapids played an even game in the BU11 division. Camden Vitagliano was on target for the Rapids but Daniel Poblete’s goal for the Kings made the final score 1-1.

Hempstead EOC Wolves had two hat trick heros on the day in their game with the Dirty Dozen. Nilton Gonzalez and Edwin Castro each scored three in the 7-2 victory. Brandon Figueroa also scored with Nico Rzehak replying twice for the Dozen.

A Connor McGovern penalty kick gave Kings Park Explosion the lead in their game against Brentwood but it was Brentwood who ended up comfortable winners thanks to a William Garcia hat trick. Herris Robbles, Jurgen Chavez and Nathanial Austin also found the net in their 6-1 victory.

BU13/14

Elber Fuentes and Melvin Delcid gave Uniondale Leones a 2-0 half time lead over the Vortex. Andy Blanco, Jordan Cruz and David Calix extended the lead in the second half before Jacob Merlo pulled one back for the Vortex, 5-1 the final score.

An exciting game between Hempstead EOC Leopards and South Huntington Sledgehammers saw both teams reach half time even at 1-1. Chris Babinski was on target for the Sledgehammers and David Abarca for the Leopards. A competitive second half only produced one goal and it was David Abarca with his second of the game who won it 2-1 for the Leopards.

BU7

AJ Gulino scored twice for the Plainedge Bulldogs in their game with HBC Crew. Brian Keaveney added a third as the Bulldogs went in at half time 3-0 up. Alex Katsaounis added a fourth before a Blake Donahue penalty kick pulled one back for the Crew, 4-1 the final score.

The two Madrids, Syosset and HBC shared ten goals in an end to end game. HBC lead 2-0 at the break with goals by Brandan Varlack and CJ Marino. The lead changed hands a couple of times after the break as Syosset hit back with three unanswered goals. Nikko Tenedero scored twice for Syosset with Aidan McCarthy, Jack Pendrick and Mason Laliotis also finding the net. Dylan Paul scored his first of the season for HBC and CJ Marino completed his hat trick with the game ending 5-5.

Kings Park Xtreme raced into a 5-0 lead against HBC Napoli, Christian Hall scored twice and Jake Hutter completed a first half hat trick. Napoli improved after the break and Kent Malaby pulled a goal back. Chase Rosenblum scored two more for Napoli but two Alex Squillacioti strikes made the final score 7-3 to the Xtreme.

BU9

Ryan Meyer scored his first goal of the season for HBC Arsenal as they took the lead over Syosset White. Syosset were back on level terms before half time with Dylan Provenz finding the net. Aleksander Proniewski restored Arsenal’s lead after the break but Dylan Provenz scored his second for the Whites to make the final score 2-2.

Syosset Red took the lead against Commack Fury when a corner kick was deflected into the goal but two goals by Giancarlo DiFava gave the Fury a 2-1 at half time. The second half saw Steven Portela and Ralph Severino add further goals for the Fury who finished up 4-1 winners.

Dix Hills Gunners went clear at the top of the table with a 6-1 victory over Kings Park Arsenal. Tyler Glassberg and Jeffrey Wilson each scored twice with Ian Alper and Matthew Chumski adding one apiece. Mike Stiskin scored Arsenal’s only goal, his second of the season.

BU9/10

The CSH Vikings and HBC Smash went in all square 1-1 at half time in their BU9/10 game. Danny Higgins scored for the Vikings and Jason Denianczyck for the Smash. The Vikings took control after the break and goals by Carson Fruchtman, Ben Higgins and another for Danny Higgins secured them the three points with a 4-1 victory.

Nico Corea scored a hat trick and Leo Palumbo netted twice as HBC City recorded their first win of the season over HBC Spurs. Shane Longin was on target twice for Spurs but it ended up 5-2 in City’s favor.

HBC Liverpool and the Annoying Oranges shared four goals in an end to end encounter. Ian Husselbeck and Wilmer Flores scored for the Oranges and Gavin Wisotsky added two more to his goals tally for Liverpool. Both teams had chances to win it but it ended even at 2-2.

GU13/14

Sarah Woods was the hat trick hero for Hempstead EOC Lady Panthers as they beat South Huntington Falcons by a score of 4-0. Cristina Molina was also on target as the Panthers got their first win of the season.

Impact FC’s Taylor Regensburger scored the only goal of an entertaining first half as the Impact and Hauppague went head to head in the GU13/14 division. Hauppague hit back after the break and Shannon Tuozzo tied it up. Neither team could find a winning goal and the points were shared, 1-1 the final score.
