WEEKLY REVIEW……WEEK 2

Girls U8

The Bulls continued their fine start to the season with a 6-0 victory over Dix Hills in the GU8 division. Golden Boot leader Gianna Bartlett hit a hat trick, Madison Apicella scored twice and Camille Prasad once as the Bulls made it two wins out of two.
Massapequa Xtreme registered their first win of the season with a 6-0 triumph over HBC 3G. Alasandra Coloma and Kaitlyn Taylor each scored twice for the Xtreme with Rachel Chillemi and Gabby Sherman also on target.

Boys U8

Dix Hills Dynamite made it two wins out of two with another confident display against Syosset White. Tyler Glassberg and Spencer Hirch both hit the net twice with Jase Nadboy adding one in the 5-0 victory. Syosset Red and the HBC Annoying Oranges served up a goal feast with the Reds coming out on top 8-3. Dylan Provenz scored a hat trick for the Reds, James Guiffre and Kosta Karousis had two goals each and William Bowen one. Andrew Pinzone with two and Enzo Pupillo replied for the Oranges.

Kings Park Arsenal went into a three goal lead against the HBC Wildcats, Michael Stiskin was the first to strike with Ryan Webb then adding two. Michael Elmo pulled one back for the Wildcats before half time but a second half hat trick from Kevin Webb made the final score 6-1 to Arsenal.

HBC Arsenal and Dix Hills Thunder played the final game of the day with Nico Corea’s long shot giving HBC a one goal advantage at half time. The second half proved to be equally as competitive. Liam Harrington’s cross took a deflection and found the net to give Arsenal a 2-0 lead but the Thunder’s pressure was rewarded when Matthew Chumsky then Ethan Cohen scored to make the final score 2-2.

Boys U9

HBC Spurs got off to a winning start in their first game with a 4-0 victory over the HBC Attack. Owen Husselbeck opened the scoring and Andrew Pinzone made it two before half time. The Attack had chances to get back into the game in the second half but a second goal from Andrew Pinzone and a late strike by Enzo Pupillo put the game out of reach.

HBC Kings recorded their second straight win beating HBC Elite 5-0. Nick Farnacci scored a hat trick to go top of the Golden Boot table, Benjamin Blumberg and Gio Cartisano completed the scoring.

Boys U10

The BU10 division saw another two competitive games with Inter S.A. and Hempstead EOC Leopards getting three points each. Milton Gonzalez gave the Leopards the lead over Elwood in a tight first half. Gabriel Santas finished off a good Leopards move to make it two in the second half before Seth Castro added a third. Dylan Poblete pulled a goal back for Elwood from the penalty spot but it wasn’t enough as the Leopards won 3-1.

Wilson Marquez was the hero for Inter scoring twice in each half giving them a 4-0 lead over HBC Wasabi. The Wasabi came to life late in the game and goals from Owen Husselbeck and Joseph Mazzuka made it a 4-2 game. The Wasabi had a couple of late chances but Inter held firm and join the Leopards at the top of the table with four points from two games.

Boys U11

Uniondale Hawks raced into a commanding lead with three first half goals against Brentwood AC Milan, Mirson Padilla, Brian Abarado and Andy Blanco finding the net. Brentwood never gave up and late goals by Richard Morel and Junior Charles made it 3-2 to set up a tense finish to the game. Both teams had half chance at the end but the Hawks held on for the three points.

HBC Wolverines got their first points with a comfortable win over CSH Arsenal. Nick Mazza opened the scoring early on and goals by Ryan Szabo, Johny Guerrera, Christian Harty and Toby Zollnar made it a 5-0 game.

Boys U12

Hempstead EOC Leopards and the Commack Allstars played a close first half with the only goal coming from Hempstead’s Tommy Yanes. The Leopards stepped it up in the second and were too strong for the Allstars, Edwin Castellon added two goals and one each from Darlin Baquerano and Walter Gomez made it 5-0.

Inter Soccer Academy took the lead in their game with Uniondale Leones, Brandon Yanez on target early in the game. The Leones tied it up before half time with a Tahjee Caid goal. The second half belonged to the Leones and two goals by Steven Lopez and one each by Ivan Santamaria and Yordi Cruz made the final score 5-1 taking them to the top of the table with a maximum six points

Boys U14

Hauppauge Azzuri came out strong against Uniondale Majico with Mike Haggerty giving them an early lead. Ryan Parker doubled the lead when his excellent strike from outside the box found the top corner. Steven Dang in the Azzuri goal pulled off a great diving save to maintain the two goal lead before Nick Massimo made it three from the penalty spot, 3-0 the half time score. The Majico played their way back into the game in the second half but were unable to find a way through the Azzuri defense. Timmy Grosso added a fourth for the Azzuri as they recorded a 4-0 victory.

Geraldo Agbodah scored a hat trick as the Uniondale Allstars stormed into a seven goal lead over the Hicksville Renegades. Christian Erazo was on target twice with Ricky Enriquez and Fabian Torres also finding the net. Hicksville’s ‘never say die’ attitude was rewarded late on with goals from Owen Restepo and Fransisco Martinez making the final score 7-2.

Inter Soccer Academy A raced into a five goal first half lead over the South Huntington Hawks. The Hawks pulled a couple of goals back in the second half but ended up on the losing end of a 7-2 score line, Junior Reyes top scored for Inter with two goals on the day. That win means Inter A sit at the top of the table with six points from their two games. Elwood Gladiators vs Inter B was rained out on Wednesday and will be played at a later date.

Boys U7/Girls U11/Girls U12

BU7 and the Gu11 and 12 were rained out on Wednesday and will be re-scheduled
