Week 3 Review

BU7/8

Southdown Flyers got their first wins of the season with back to back victories.
A 2-0 win over the Destroyers was followed by a 3-2 win over Hbc Germany.
Chris Prainito was on target twice in each of the Crushers’ games as they beat the Destroyers 5-1 then Lazio 4-1, Boden Rudloff also scored in both games. The Crushers are now in second place with nine points.
Ajax beat Hbc Germany 2-1 and remain in first place despite losing to Rangers 2-0 in their second game. Gary Alvarez and Grant Kurland scored the goals for Rangers who then beat Roma 2-1. Jhordan Moriera gave Roma a first half lead but Grant Kurland and Evan Haber found the net for Rangers who went two for two on the day.
In Roma’s other game two second half goals by Alex Moriera saw them take the points in a 2-0 victory over Lazio.

BU9/10

Elwood took maximum points as they win both of their games. Two goals by Colin Lennon and an own goal gave them a 3-1 victory over Wolves who had briefly tied the game up thanks to a Sean Manoff goal. Their second game was even closer as a late goal by Colin Lennon saw them beat Atletico 1-0.
Valencia stays top after two wins over Wolves and Poland. Lennon Harrington scored a hat trick in their 6-1 victory over Wolves, Alex Moreira also scored twice and Dylan Gugin once. They followed that with a 6-0 win over Poland. Lennon Harrington scored his second hat trick of the day and goals by Dylan Gugin, Alex Moreira and Austin Schermer completed the scoring.
Atletico bounced back with a victory over Poland, Alex LaSpina scored a hat trick and Nick Kump twice in the 5-1 win.

BU11/12

Arsenal enjoyed a comfortable victory over Benfica in the opening game of the Bu11/12 division. Jonathan Shank was on target four times as they won 6-0. There second game proved a lot more difficult as they were beaten 6-0 by Chelsea. Bryan Lizama and Lennon Harrington both scored twice for Chelsea with David McCalla and Dylan Gugin finding the net once.
Chelsea hit six for a second time as they beat Spurs 6-1 in their next game. Bryan Lizama hit a hat trick, Lennon Harrington scored twice and Liam Harrington once.
Hbc Ambush also enjoyed two victories with wins over Benfica and Spurs. Jake Burton scored four times in the 6-0 win over Benfica with Liam Lennon adding two more. Luke Rinaldi was then on target twice for the Ambush as they beat Spurs 4-0 to go second in the table.

BU13/14

The Uniondale Vikingos were 5-1 victors over the Outlaws White in the opening game in the BU13/14 division, Adrian Astudillo scored twice for the Vikingos.
Ian Kaish then scored four times as the Outlaws Green made it a rough day for the Outlaws White by beating them 5-1.
The game of the day was between the Vikingos and Chaos with both teams starting the day unbeaten so far this season. Vikingos struck first through Douglas Barrera who gave them a 1-0 half time lead. Carmine De’Ieso then tied it up for Chaos before Douglas gave the Vikingos the lead for a second time. Carmine replied for Chaos to make it 2-2 and an exciting end to end finale saw Emmy Forbes score with only ten seconds remaining to make the final score 3-2 in favor of Chaos.
Arnold Alfaro scored a hat and Alex Martinez twice as Finley beat the Outlaws Green by a score of 6-1. Jake Donahue then scored three as Finley beat SH Sharpshooters 5-2 and Arnold Alfaro was on target again scoring twice for Finley as they went two for two beating Green Machine 4-2.
The SH Sharpshooters then benefited from two own goals by the Green Machine but goals by Sebastian Koch, Chris Roberts and Brendan Viscount made the final score 3-3.

GU13/14

Northport Spirit won twice in the Gu13/14 division. Liz Starin was on target twice in the 5-1 win over the Hbc Blue Devils and went one better in the next game scoring a hat trick in the 5-0 victory over the Shooting Stars. Julianna Bertoloni also scored twice against the Stars.
Hbc Blue Devils beat the Tiger Lily’s 3-0, Christiana Maceluch and Abby Semelsberger were amongst the scorers. The Tiger Lily’s then tied with the Shooting Stars 2-2. Claire Lindsey and Adelaide Kline were on target for the Lily’s but two goals by Jessie Grover meant the points were shared.

BU16

The BU16 division is proving to be very competitive and there were more close games during week 3. Gabe Quesquen scored a hat trick for United as they beat CSH Falcons 3-1 in hard fought game. United followed that up with another victory this time beating H Footy 4-2.
John Baccardo was then on target twice for the Sting Green as they beat CSH Falcons 4-0.
H Footy recovered well and held on to beat Sting White 2-1 thanks to two goals by Carlos Godoy.
The final game of the night was between the Sting White and the Sting Green and a Johnny Tucker hat trick helped the Greens to a 6-3 victory.
