Week 6 Review

BU7/8

Ajax opened up a four point lead at the top of the table after a 5-0 victory over second placed Rangers. Angelo Lucignano and Ryan Perillo each scored twice in a convincing win. Ajax also beat Lazio 3-1 thanks to goals by James Vohs, Carter Veitch and Angelo Lucignano.
Two Jhordan Moreira goals gave Roma a 2-1 victory over Lazio in and end to end encounter and Rangers recovered to beat the Southdown Flyers 8-2. Grant Kurland, Joe Rocca and Matt Bender all scored twice for Rangers who stay in second place on eighteen points.
Jhordan Moreira went one better in the next Roma game scoring a hat trick in the 3-1 victory over the Destroyers.
Germany stay third after two wins moved them onto seventeen points. Frankie Algieri, Byron Araujo and Matthew Benevides were on target in the 3-2 win over the Flyers before Matthew netted twice and Austin Krywak once in the 3-1 win against the Crushers. The Crushers picked up the points against the Destroyers winning a close game 2-1. Golden Boot leader Chris Prainito and Cooper Brandt scored the goals.

BU9/10

Valencia secured another two victories to remain in first place beating Wolves 4-0 then Poland 5-0. Dylan Gugin and Lennon Harrington each scored twice against Wolves and Raj Gujral top scored against Poland with two.
A David McCalla hat trick and two goals by Thomas Giramonti, one an excellent header, set Elwood on their way to a 6-2 victory over Wolves. An exciting 3-3 tie with Atletico followed for Elwood. Goals by David McCalla, Chase Brandt and Thomas Giramonti had briefly given Elwood the lead but two Zach Kaufman goals and one by Nick Kump evened things up. Atletico then had a comfortable win over Poland. Logan Horowitz scored a hat trick in the 7-1 victory.

BU11/12

The top two teams squared off in the opening game in the BU11/12 division. Chelsea took an early lead over the Hbc Ambush through Lennon Harrington’s goal but the Ambush were soon level when James Vohs’ shot found the back of the net. Max Bloess then gave Chelsea their second lead of the game before a powerful strike by Aleks Proniewski in the second half secured the points for Chelsea, 3-1 the final score. Two Bryan Lizama goals helped Chelsea to a second win, this time 4-1 over Benfica.
Another closely fought match up saw Arsenal come out on top over the Ambush 2-1. Jonathan Shank gave Arsenal the lead but Liam Lennon leveled for the Ambush before half time. Both team had chances to win it before Nick Campanelli scored what proved to be the winner for Arsenal.
Spurs won one and lost one. David Lizama and Jose Rivera scored the goals as they held on to record a 2-1 victory over Benfica. The same two players were on target again against Arsenal but Ryan DeWitt’s hat trick helped Arsenal to a 5-2 triumph, Jonathan Shank and Nick Inuisi added the other goals.

BU13/14

The BU13/14 division has been consistently competitive and week 6 didn’t disappoint. Finley overcame the Green Machine 3-1 in the opening game with goals by Owen Husselbeck, Alex Martinez and Arnold Alfaro. The Green Machine soon turned it around and beat the Outlaws Green 3-0, Trevor Hubbard, Nico Rzehak and Sebastian Koch with the goals.
Uniondale Vikingos and Finley then played what could be the game of the season so far. Both teams demonstrated their skill and commitment but ultimately couldn’t find a goal in an entertaining 0-0 draw.
Jeffrey Sorto scored twice as SH Sharpshooters beat the Outlaws Green 5-2 but they couldn’t maintain the momentum and lost 2-0 to the Outlaws White. David Meneses and Dylan Behr the scorers for the Outlaws.
Another end to end game saw the Vikingos take the points in a 3-0 victory over the league leaders, Chaos. Alex Cardenas scored twice and Adrian Astudillas once. Chaos responded with a 3-0 win over the Outlaws White. Brian Contreras, Carmine DeIeso and Jason Guray finding the net.

GU13/14

Liz Starin hit five goals for the Northport Spirit in their 6-3 victory over the Tiger Lily’s to move further ahead at the top of the Golden Boot table. Mia Friere was also on target for the Spirit with Ava Mailla scoring twice and Adelaide Kline once for the Lily’s. Ava then scored the only goal of the game as the Tiger Lily’s defeated the Blue Devils 1-0 in a very competitive game.
Lucy Biblow scored twice and Kay Rosselli once as the Shooting Stars triumphed over the Northport Spirit 3-2 before the Stars and the Blue Devils tied 1-1.

BU16

Jason Castellanos and Josh Yanuck were on target for CSH Falcons in their game against United but Alex Marino brought United level on two occasions, the second coming late in the game to earn a point in the 2-2 tie.
Alex was also on target twice for United in their second game as they raced into a 2-0 first half lead over H Footy. Jordan Robinson pulled one back in the second half but United held on for the 2-1 victory.
Eren Aydin and Luke Luckow each scored twice as the Sting beat the Falcons 6-1 before H Footy won a close game against the Sting 2-1, Jordan Roninson and Chris Callan scoring the goals for H Footy.
