Week 7 Review

BU7/8

Week 7 saw a lot of close and low scoring games in the BU7/8 division. Rangers and Hbc Germany tied the first game of the day 1-1. Gary Alvarez gave Rangers the lead in the second half but Matthew Benevides equalized for Germany.
Ajax then beat Germany 1-0 thanks to a goal by Angelo Lucignano before Roma beat Rangers 1-0 to help their chances of making the play offs, Jhordan Moreira scored the only goal early in the second half.
Carter Veitch scored in the first half for Ajax against the Crushers and that proved to be enough as Ajax held on for the 1-0 victory.
Roma made it four games in succession to finish 1-0 as Jhordan Moreira scored his second match winning goal of the day against the Southdaown Flyers to confirm Roma’s place in next week’s playoffs.
The Crushers beat Lazio but just failed to make the top four, Callan Steel and Sam Aronowsky both scored twice in the 6-1 win.
The Destroyers played the final two games in the division winning one and losing one. After losing 2-0 to the Southdown Flyers they beat Lazio 4-1. Aidan Smith, Owen Lakhani, Jesse Giovacco and Noah Iaboni all scored for the Destroyers, Colby Curran scored for Lazio.
Hbc Germany and Roma both finished with 18 points and an identical head to head record (2 ties)
Hbc Germany place third, above Roma, because of a superior goal differential over the season. That means next week’s play offs are: Ajax v Roma and Rangers v Hbc Germany

BU9/10

Dylan Gugin and Lennon Harrington both scored twice for Valencia as they beat Atletico 5-0, Rajveer Gujral was also on target.
Alex LaSpina gave Atletico a second half lead against Wolves but Anthony Labombada tied it up with 15 seconds remaining to make the final score 1-1.
Colin Lennon then scored six times, a double hat trick, as Elwood inflicted a first defeat on Valencia. Lennon Harrington scored twice for Valencia but they were beaten convincingly 8-2.
Arnov Kohli scored twice for Wolves in their 6-1 victory over Poland and David McCalla’s two goals helped Elwood to their second win of the day, a 4-0 victory over Poland.

BU11/12

The Hbc Ambush had two comfortable wins in the BU11/12 division. Liam Lennon scored a hat trick in the 4-0 win over Spurs then added two more against Benfica. Jake Burton, Charlie Giramonti and Luke Rinaldi were also on target in the 5-0 victory.
Chelsea also won twice. Lennon Harrington scored twice in the 6-0 win over Spurs, Aleks Proniewski, Bryan Lizama and David McCalla also scored and an unfortunate own goal completed the scoring. Lennon Harrington then scored two early goals against Arsenal but Ryan DeWitt and Nick Campanelli tied it up for Arsenal before half time. Lennon added two more after the break to restore Chelsea’s advantage and two late goals by Dylan Gugin made the final score 6-2.
Arsenal recovered to beat a depleted Benfica team 6-1 in the final game. Nick Induisi, Jonathan Shank, Yovanni Rivera, Nick Campanelli , Ryan DeWitt and Jason Kaiser all scored for Arsenal.
Next week’s play offs will be:
Chelsea v Spurs and Hbc Ambush v Arsenal. The winners will play in the final and the two losing semi finalists will play Benfica.

BU13/14

The Vikingos made sure of a second place finish with two wins in week 7. Douglas Barrera scored a hat trick in the 5-1 victory over the Green Machine then added two more against the Outlaws White. Adrian Astudillo was also on target twice in the 7-3 win, Kyle Gallagher scored twice for the Outlaws.
Chris O’Connor scored twice and Jeffrey Sorto once for the SH Sharpshooters but it wasn’t enough as the Green Machine held on for a 4-3 victory in an end to end encounter. Trevor Hubbard was on target twice for green Machine, Louis Batista and Nico Rzehak each scored one.
Chaos made sure of first place with a 4-1 win over SH Sharpshooters, Carmine De’Ieso scored twice. Jason Garay found the net twice for Chaos in their next game against Finley but a very competitive game ended 3-3 after Owen Husselbeck equalized for Finley with three minutes remaining.
Ethan Fransiscovich scored twice for the Outlaws Green as they defeated the Outlaws White 5-1 then Finley moved above Green Machine and into 3rd place with a 4-2 victory over Outlaws Green, Arnold Alfaro scored a hat trick for Finley who will now play the Vikingos in the play offs next week. The other play off game will be between Chaos and Green Machine.

GU13/14

Liz Starin scored four times as Northport Spirit beat the Blue Devils in the opening game in the girls division. Julianna Bertoloni was also on target in the 5-2 victory. Emily Cheshire and Beanna Cummela scored for the Devils.
The Devils then beat the Tiger Lily’s in an exciting game that ended 2-1. Claire Lindsey scored for the Lily’s but goals by Beanna Cumella and Christianna Maceluch got the points for the Devils.
Beanna was then on target twice for the Shooting Stars as they tied the Spirit 2-2. Liz Starin and Julianna Bertoloni scored the Spirit’s goals.

BU16

H Footy finished in first place after winning both of their week 7 games. Adam Debus scored the winning goal in the 3-2 victory over the Sting White and was again on target in the 3-0 win over the Sting Green, Jordan Robinson and James Cameron also netted for H Footy.
Eren Aydin scored twice for the Sting White against United but Alex Marino hit four goals for United to give them a 5-3 victory.
United and Sting Green played a competitive game to end the day drawing 3-3. Alex Marino was on target again twice for United and Will Friedman added one but goals by John Baccardo, Pat Duran and Matteo Alzate meant the points were shared.
Next week’s play offs will be : H Footy v Sting White and United v Sting Green.
