Week 3 – Weekly Review – January 4th and 5th

BU12/13

Northport Sounders got their first victory of the season beating CSH Spartans 3-1 in the division’s opener. Andrew Belanic, Matt Horyczun and Carter Hendrickson scored the goals.

The Spartans and Valencia shared the points in a 1-1 tie. Jack Engel gave the Spartans a second half lead but Aidan Krollage equalized soon after.

Jonathan Morales, Grant Kurland and Thomas Carluccio each scored twice in Celtic’s 7-1 win over Northport, Ryan Kaiser got the other goal.

Liverpool kept up their 100% record beating Valencia and Celtic.

Lennon Harington scored four times against Valencia with Dylan Gugin adding two and Keaton Levine one in the 7-2 win.

A 7-1 victory over Celtic followed, Dylan & Keaton scored again and Lennon added four more, Noah Reinstein completed the scoring.

BU10/11

Owen Gordon scored two first half goals to give Southdown Flyers a 2-0 lead over HBC Milan. Jack Steinberg added a third shortly after the break to make a final score of 3-0 in the Flyers favor.

Aaron Liberman scored twice in HBC Milan’s next game as they beat Destroyers FC 6-1.

Jack Steinberg then scored a hat trick and Michael Tucker twice as the Flyers beat Ajax 6-0.

Walter Kusterback, Spencer James, Christian Luca and Austin Krywack all found the net CSH Tornados 4-1 victory over Destroyers FC before Spencer scored twice to help the Tornados to a second 4-1 win, this time over Kings Park United.

Johann Guerrier claimed a hat trick in Kings Park’s 6-0 triumph over Ajax, Anthony Alberici struck twice and Gavin O’Brien once.

BU14/15

HBC City led twice and against HBC Arsenal but had to settle for a point. Zan Ahmed scored in the first half and Grant Kurland in the second but each time Arsenal pulled level. Jack Jimenez and David Lazaro got the goals for Arsenal and it finished 2-2.

David was also on target twice in Arsenal’s second game as they beat HBC Revolution 2-1 in a close encounter.

Dylan Thody hit a hat trick for Huntington United in their 6-0 victory over HBC City and Alex Tylar went one better hitting four goals as Smithtown Super Sane Rebound saw off the Brentwood Tigers 7-1.

HBC Revolution won a close match against Brentwood, Dylan Cahill netted both goals as they held on to win 2-1.

CSH Vipers fought hard against Huntington United but we’re 2-1 down at the break. United eventually made their pressure tell scoring three late goals to win 5-1. Dylan Thody, Ben Koch, Josh Chandra, Ben D’Agostino and Jack O’Brien all scored with Peter Leavy replying for the Titans.

Ian Franklin then scored twice for Chelsea as they recorded a 4-0 victory over the Titans.

Benfica led 2-0 against Smithtown and looked to be heading for victory but late goals by Luke Hunsucker and Alex Tylar secured Smithtown a point.

Chelsea overcame Benfica 5-0 in the division’s final game of the day, Lennon Harrington scored a goal in each half, Ian Franklin, Liam Harrington and Max Bloess completed the scoring.

GU12/13

CSH Orange Crush took maximum points winning both of their week 3 games. Madyn Kale scored the only goal of the game against South Huntington Wave then Leighton Evans gave the Crush a first half lead over the HBC Lady Vikings. Madyn scored her second of the day in the second half to give the Crush a 2-0 victory.

Gale Kurland hit the net twice after Saige Hasson opened the scoring as HBC Chaos beat SH Wave 3-1.

Chaos and Power then shared the points in a tight game that ended 1-1. Sofia Livan gave Chaos the lead but Juliette Arnone tied it up for the Power before half time.

The Power then came out on top 3-0 over the Lady Vikings thanks to Morgan Walcott’s hat trick.

BU9

Joey Serventi scored all four goals for Harborfields White as they beat Port United 4-2. Andreas Iuvala’s two first half goals for Port gave them a 2-1 lead at the break but the Whites came out on top.

Liam Bayne and JJ Tracy both netted twice as Harborfields Green beat Harborfields White 4-2 in an end to end game. Westin Ritcey got both goals for the Whites.

Brett Levine and Ben Fackler also hit two each as HBC Cosmos secured their first win of the season beating Port United 4-1.

They followed that up with a 1-0 victory over Juventus, Jack Zipkin scoring the all important goal mid way through the second half.

Juventus and Harborfields Green tied 1-1. Liam Bayne gave the Greens a 1-0 lead  in the first half but a penalty kick by Brendan O’Connor leveled it for Juve.

BU16

Uniondale Vikingos won the division’s opening game against the Outlaws, Warren Sanger found the net twice in their 4-1 triumph.

Whitman FC and the Vikingos then played a tense and competitive match that saw Sebastian Koch give Whitman a 1-0 half time lead. The Vikingos finally tied it up with three minutes remaining when Raul Sanchez volleyed in an excellent strike. With only a minute left Adrian Astudillo then scored from close range to win it for the Vikingos, 2-1.

Patrick Ahearn scored two early goals to give the Outlaws a 2-0 advantage over Brentwood Napoli. Brentwood then staged an impressive comeback scoring three before half time then adding a fourth just after the break. The Outlaws then staged their own comeback with two goals in the last couple of minutes to tie the game 4-4. Michael Pinzone then Ian Kaish got the late goals for the Outlaws, Luis Alvarado, Sonnick Bouquet, Luis Ruiz and Maynor Rodriguez all scored for Brentwood.

Whitman FC recovered from their earlier loss to claim the points with a 2-1 win over Smithtown EMK. Angel Catalon gave Whitman the lead but Sean Fitzgerald equalized for EMK. Sebastian Koch scored the only goal in the second half with a powerful strike to win it for Whitman.

Smithtown EMK then won the days final game comfortably, Lake Hayes, Jake Delrosario and Sean Fitzgerald all netted twice in the 7-1 victory.

BU18

Nate Gegwich scored the only goal of a close game between Uncrustables and Banterous Brothers to give his team the points in the division’s opening game.

Nate was on target again against Miso Hungry equalizing after Vinnie Alfiero had given Miso the lead with a first half free kick. A frantic finish saw Miso win it with the games final kick, Joe DeSimone was on hand to tap the ball home from close range to to spark wild celebrations!

Banterous Brothers recovered to beat Don Tomas FC 3-0, Garrett Rospars broke the deadlock with a powerful first half strike and Kyle Kelly added two more after the break.

Pollos FC and Miso Hungry played an entertaining game with both sides coming close on numerous occasions but ultimately unable to score, 0-0 the final result.

Tyler Axelson netted four times in Dom Thomas FC’s 6-2 victory over Knockers FC and Eren Aydin scored twice as Pollos FC dominated in their 5-0 win over Toft United.

Toft hit back with a 4-3 victory over Knockers FC, Jordan Robinson claimed a hat trick and Michael Algeiri scored once but late goals by Toft from Juan Salamanca and Rudy Salmeron added to an early Jordi Velasquez made it a nail-biting finish.
