Week 5 – January 18th/19th

BU18

Juan Salamanca scored twice for Knockers FC but it wasn’t enough as goals by Stephan Mazut, Colin  Barnard and Ronan Carroll won it for the Uncrustables 3-2.
Pollos FC then beat Knockers FC, Carlos Godoy, Eren Aydin, Pat Golle and Cameron Entwhistle were all on target in the 4-1 win.
Nick Viggiano netted twice for Uncrustables as they beat a depleted Toft United 5-2 before Pollos FC made it two wins out of two with a 5-1 victory over Don Tomas FC. Carlos Godoy scored a first half hat trick and Eren Aydin added two after the break.
Ryan Bechimol scored the only goal of a tight first half between Banterous Brothers and Toft United. Kyle Kelly and Brian MaCleod extended their lead as the Brothers won 3-1.
Don Tomas FC produced an excellent display to hand Miso Hungry their first defeat of the season. Alex Rivas and Juan Salamanca each scored twice in the 4-3 victory.
Miso then played an intense game with Banterous Brothers. Neither team could find the net in the first half but the game exploded after the break with Ryan Smith giving the Brothers a 1-0 lead. James Bonofazio tied it up shortly after but Kyle Kelly struck the winner as the Brothers held on for the 2-1 triumph.

BU12/13

Northport Sounders led 1-0 against Hbc Celtic until the the last seconds of the first half. Celtic turned it around in the second half and the 7-1 victory included a hat trick for Grant Kurland, two for Gale Kurland and two for Jonathan Morales.
Liverpool then beat Celtic by the same score line, Lennon Harington had a hat trick and Keaton Levine two.
Nick Rodriguez and Henry Treanor scored either side of half time to give CSH Spartans a 2-0 win over Northport Sounders and Celtic made it two wins beating Valencia 3-1, Keaton Levine scored twice to keep Liverpool’s winning streak alive.
Valencia won the division’s final game, Remi Asghar hit two goals in the 5-1 victory over the Spartans.

BU10/11

CSH Tornados got off to a good start when Spencer James gave them an early lead over the Destroyers. Spencer added a second and Austin Krywak scored in the 3-1 win.
Yohann Guerrier and Gavin O’Brien gave Kings Park United a 2-0 lead over the Destroyers, Noah Delello pulled one back but United held on for the 2-1 win.
Andrew McRoy and Austin Krywak scored the goals that gave CSH Tornados a 2-1 victory over the Southdown Flyers then Yohann Guerrier hit a hat trick for Kings Park United in their 3-0 win over HBC Ajax. 
A first half goal by Elijah Prywes gave HBC Milan the lead over the Flyers but second half strikes by Quinn Rinaldi and Owen Gordon turned it around for the Flyers who held on to win 2-1.
HBC Ajax and HBC Milan played the division’s final game and had to settle for a point each in an entertaining 3-3 draw.

GU11/12

Gabby Perciballi and Christina Saitzyk scored first half goals as South Huntington Wave took a 2-0 lead into the half time break against the HBC Lady Vikings. The Vikings recovered well in the second half and two goals by Anna Sarducci meant the game finished all square at 2-2.
Gale Kurland struck five times to help HBC Chaos beat the Lady Vikings 6-0, Ashely Austin was also on the score sheet.
SH Wave got their first win of the season beating the CSH Orange Crush 2-0. Emily Hotine and Christina Saitzyk scored either side of half time.
The Power suffered their first defeat of the season losing to Chaos. Emma Wilck hit a hat trick in the 5-1 victory.
The Power bounced back and beat the Orange Crush 1-0 in the division’s final game of the day. Abby Foodim scored the games only goal in the first half.

BU9

The HBC Cosmos and Port United shared the points in an end to end game that finished 2-2. Ben Fackler scored both goals for the Cosmos and Port’s top scorer Andres Iovala matched him with two for United.
Jacob Fleischer scored the winner for Harborfields Green as they defeated the Cosmos 1-0 in another close game.
The two Harborfields teams, Green and White, then went head to head and another competitive game saw the points shared. Joey Serventi hit two for the Whites with Chase Marini scoring the other, the Greens replied with two goals by Jack Hochheiser and one from Owen Guddemi.
Juventus had a good day winning twice to move clear at the top of the table. Ryan Lynch, Gillian Kurland and Brendan O’Connor each scored two in the 6-1 victory over Harborfields Green then Antonio Laudicina and Brendan O’Connor were on target in the 3-0 win over the Whites, the other being an unfortunate own goal.

BU14/15

Tyler Godwin’s two goals were the difference between CSH Vipers and Brentwood Tigers as the Vipers took the points in the 2-0 victory.
Smithtown Super Sayan Rebound proved to be too strong for the Vipers in their next game despite the Vipers leading 1-0 at half time through Raymond Cumella’s goal. Two second half strikes by Patrick Hyland and a goal by Alex Tylar won it for the Rebound 3-1.
Davis Lazaro was HBC Arsenal’s hero scoring a hat trick in their 3-0 win over the Brentwood Tigers.
Arsenal played a tough first half against the league leaders Huntington United but a strong second half performance by United saw them pull away and register a convincing 7-2 win. Dylan Thody hit four goals, Ben Koch two and Nick Campanelli one.
Emerson Soriano was on target twice for HBC Revolution in their impressive 4-0 win over Smithtown Rebound. Emerson also scored in the Revolution’s next game  along with Thomas Kaler in their 2-1 victory over Benfica.
Huntington United and Chelsea were both unbeaten going into week five and it looked like staying that way with the game scoreless and time running out. With only five seconds remaining on the clock Ben Koch’s shot in a crowded penalty box found its way into the corner to win it 1-0 for United who now move two points clear at the top of the league.
Chelsea recovered to win their second game beating HBC City 4-1 thanks to two goals from Max Bloess and one each from Liam Harrington and Lennon Harrington.
Benfica were pushed all the way by HBC City in the last game of the day but Christian Lizama’s hat trick helped them to a 5-3 triumph in another entertaining game.

BU16

Brentwood Napoli recorded their first win of the season with an impressive 3-1 victory over the HBC Outlaws. Justin Cabrera, Luis Ruiz and Sonnick Bouquet got the goals.
Nate Shin found the net twice as Smithtown EMK beat Brentwood 6-0. Nate then hit two against Whitman FC in the 7-3 win, Lake Hayes also scored twice to go top of the Golden Boot table.
The Uniondale Vikingos played two very close games against the Outlaws then Whitman FC. Travis Roux gave the Outlaws a half time lead but Andrew Orrego’s goal for the Vikingos tied it up and it ended even at 1-1.
The Vikingos then led 2-1 at half time in their game with Whitman thanks to goals by Raul Sanchez and David Vides. 
Dylan Thody scored for Whitman in an intense first half then Richard Morel tied it up half way through the second before an unfortunate Whitman own goal near the end saw the Vikingos take the points with a 3-2 victory.
