Week 6 – Weekly Review – January 25th /26th

BU12/13

Liverpool won both of their week 6 games to stay top of the BU12/13 division. 
Michael Tucker, Owen Gordon and Gale Kurland scored the goals in the 3-0 win over CSH Spartans and all three were on target again in the 5-0 victory over Northport Sounders.
Grant Kurland scored four times in Celtic’s 5-1 win over the Sounders before Valencia claimed maximum points winning the division’s final two games.
Kris Campos scored twice and Yovanni Rivera & Aidan Krollage added one each in the 4-3 victory over the Sounders. Two strikes by Sean Cogan and a Matt Horyczun goal brought the Sounders back into the game after going 4-1 behind but they couldn’t complete the comeback.
A close first half saw Celtic and Valencia go to the break tied 0-0. Yovanni Rivera’s penalty kick broke the deadlock for Valencia but Celtic were level within a minute through Jonathan Morales.
AJ Spector secured the lead again for Valencia with a clinical finish and Yovanni added his second and Celtic’s third before Jonathan Morales pulled another back for Celtic with the last kick of the game and it finished 3-2 To Valencia.

BU10/11

Jack Steinberg hit two goals as the Southdown Flyers overcame the Destroyers 4-0 in the BU10/11 opening match, Owen Gordon and Michael Tucker were also on target.
The Flyers went two for two beating HBC Ajax 5-0, Xander Arias and Owen Gordon each scored twice.
Aaron Liberman netted a hat trick and Alex Lambrinos added two in HBC Milan’s 6-1 victory over the Destoyers.
Milan claimed a second win with an impressive 4-0 triumph over Kings Park,
Alex Lambrinos and Jayden Sanchez both scored twice.
Spencer James’ hat trick helped CSH Tornados to a 7-1 victory over HBC Ajax, Walter Kusterbeck also found the net twice in a comfortable win.
The Tornados pressed against Kings Park United but couldn’t reply to a first half goal by United’s Michael Canonico. A goalless second half meant United took the points with a 1-0 victory.

GU12/13

Gale Kurland scored both goals for Chaos as they won a close game against South Huntington Wave 2-1, Gabby Perciballi found the net for the Wave.
Gale was on target again against CSH Orange Crush, Allie Allogiamento and Gillian Kurland also scored in the 3-1 win.
The Power claimed two victories beating the Wave then HBC Lady Vikings.
Amanda Burrack scored twice in the 5-0 win over the Wave and Ashley Pellicone hit two in the 4-0 win against the HBC Lady Vikings.
The Lady Vikings and CSH Orange Crush played an exciting game that either team could’ve won. Sierra Reipe scored for the Crush in the first half and Laura Sheehan in the second but Anna Sarducci and Chelsea Gordon were on target for the Lady Vikings to make it 2-2. Ruby Balibar got the game winning goal late on to give the Lady Vikings the 3-2 victory.

BU9

HBC Juventus extended their lead at the top of the table winning both of their week 6 games. Brendan O’Connor gave them a first half lead against HBC Cosmos then Max Manu wrapped it up with a second mid way through the second half, 2-0 the final score.
Tyler Striga and Brendan O’Connor then put them two up at half time against Harborfields Green. Liam Bayne pulled one back for the Greens but Juve held on for the 2-1 victory.
Liam hit two goals in the Green’s next game, Leo Sternschein was also on target in the 3-0 win over the Port United.
Harborfields White had a mixed day dominating against the Cosmos but losing to Port United. Joey Serventi struck four times and Noah Tacy three in their 7-1 win over the Cosmos but they found themselves 2-0 down early on against United. Andres Iovala had both first half goals for United and added a third to complete his hat trick after the break. Joey Serventi had pulled it back to 2-1 before half time and Noah Tacy scored with a minute left to make it 3-2 but United held on for the 3-2 triumph.

BU14/15

A competitive opening game saw Smithtown SS Rebound take the points with a 1-0 win over HBC City. Alex Tylar scored the only goal mid way through the second half.
David Lazaro then scored four times as HBC Arsenal beat Smithtown 5-0, Andrew Stanco hit the other goal in a an impressive performance.
HBC City lost another close game this time going down 4-2 to CSH Vipers. Ian Smith struck twice, Teddy Leavy and Dylan Hayden added the others with Alex Bogdani and Matthew Mullen replying for City.
Chelsea led 2-0 at half time against Arsenal thanks to goals by Chris Thorsen and Lennon Harrington but a strong second half from Arsenal saw them take a point with quick fire goals by David Lazaro then Andrew Stanco making it a 2-2 final score.
Huntington United look like finishing top of the division going into the play offs as they now lead by three points with two regular season games to play. Two more victories and clean sheets saw them take maximum points. Ben Koch hit a hat trick and Dylan Thody scored once in the 4-0 win over CSH Vipers, Dylan then claimed a hat trick with Ben scoring twice in the 5-0 victory over HBC Revolution.
Chelsea stayed in second spot after beating Benfica, Lennon Harrington hit all four goals in the 4-0 victory.
Benfica bounced back to beat Brentwood Tigers 2-0, Christian Lizama scored both goals.
HBC Revolution and Brentwood played the division’s final game of the day and it was Revolution who came out on top. Anthony Sandoval, Andy Martinez and Dylan Cahill were all on target in the 3-0 win.

BU16

Whitman FC and HBC Outlaws shared the points in an entertaining opening game in the BU16 division. Seb Koch twice gave Whitman the lead but each time Chris Roberts tied it up and it ended 2-2.
Lake Hayes scored five times to go clear at the top of the Golden Boot table as Smithtown EMK beat HBC Outlaws 6-1.
Daniel Dileo then hit a hat trick in Whitman FC’s 4-0 win over Brentwood Napoli and Raul Sanchez was on target twice as the Vikingos also beat Brentwood 4-0.
The Vikingos handed Smithtown only their second loss of the season coming out on top 2-1 in an intense game. Lake Hayes found the net again to tie it up after Raul Sanchez had given the Vikings the lead but David Vides’ second half strike proved to be the winner.

BU18

Nate Gegwich gave the Uncrustables a 1-0 half time lead over Banterous Brothers but a Ryan Benchimol goal evened it up after the break and it ended all square at 1-1.
The Uncrustables then beat Miso Hungry, Ronan Carroll scored twice in the 4-2 win with Austin Debus also finding the net twice for Miso.
Two Alex Rivera goals helped Don Tomas FC to a 3-1 victory over Banterous Brothers and a second success followed as they beat knockers FC 6-2 with Alex again on target twice.
Erin Aydin was another player to score twice in two games as Pollos FC secured maximum points beating Miso Hungry 6-2 then Toft United 5-2.
The division’s final game saw Toft United’s Michael Algeiri claim two goals in a comfortable 6-2 win over Knockers FC.
