Week 2 Review

BU7/8

Germany and Rangers got week two underway and a close game ended in a tie with both teams unable to find a winner, 0-0 the final score.
Byron Arajo and Rank Algieri scored for Germany in their second against Roma game but Jhordan Moreira’s late equalizer, his second of the game, meant the points were again shared in the 2-2 tie.
Rangers and Lazio made it three ties in a row as their game ended 1-1. Grant Kurland scored for Rangere in the second half but Alex Gizzi tied it up for Lazio.
Logan Bloom scored twice for Roma as they beat the Southdown Flyers 6-0 in their second game. The Flyers improved against the Crushers but went down 3-1, Chris Prainito scored twice and Cooper Brandt once.
Lazio and the Destroyers played an entertaining game that ended in a 4-2 victory for the Destroyers. Colby Curran and Chase Gottesman were on target for Lazio but goals by Owen Lakhani, Noah Iaboni, Brett Sullivan and Jesse Giovacco gave the Destroyers their first win of the season.
Ajax won both of their games to make it 4 out of 4 for the season so far. Carter Veitch and James Vohs were on target twice in the 6-0 victory over the Destroyers and Carter added two more in the 3-0 win over the Crushers.

BU9/10

Elwood got their season started with a 6-0 win over Poland. Thomas Giramonti and David McCalla both scoring twice.
Poland kept it close in the first half against Wolves but five second half goals made the final 6-0 in Wolves favor, Evan DiSimone top scored with two for Wolves.
Valencia and Elwood played an end to end game and with two goals by Dylan Gugin giving Valencia a 2-0 lead. Thomas Giramonti pulled one back for Elwood but Valencia held on for the 2-1 win.
Alex LaSpina and Devon Brandt were on target as Atletico got their first win of the season 2-0 over Wolves.
Atletico then led against Valencia thanks to a first half goal by Nick Kump. Valencia’s Dylan Gugin tied it up midway through the second half then scored a late winner to make it four out of four for Valencia, 2-1 the final score.

BU11/12

David Lazaro scored twice for Spurs as they beat Benfica 2-1 in the opening game of the BU11/12 division. David was on the score sheet again as he finished off a nice move to give Spurs a 1-0 half time lead over Arsenal. Arsenal hit back in the second half with Ryan DeWitt and Patrick Soulias both scoring twice to give Arsenal a 4-1 win.
Lennon Harrington hit a hat trick as Chelsea beat Benfica 4-1, he followed that with four goals in Chelsea’s next game as they beat the Hbc Ambush 5-1 to go top of the table.
The Ambush and Arsenal shared the points in a close game that ended 2-2. Two goals by Ryan DeWitt gave Arsenal a 2-1 half time lead after Liam Lennon had open the scoring for the Ambush. The Ambush pressed in the second half and and Harrison Krywak got the equalizing goal which proved to be the last of the game.

BU13/14

Chaos edged a close game with the Green Machine in the opening BU13/14 game. Two goals by Danya Dangiger and one by Emmy Forbes gave them a 3-2 victory, Kevin Mascia and Trevor Hubbard were the scorers for Green Machine.
Chaos followed up with a 4-1 win over the Outlaws Green to make it four wins out of four and Green Machine recovered to win their second game 4-0 over the Outlaws White, Trevor Hubbard with a hat trick in that game.
The Uniondale Vikingos won both of their week two games. Douglas Barrera and Adrian Astudillo scored the goals that beat the Outlaws Green 2-0 then Alan Calderon, Justin Mendez and Douglas Barrera scored in the 3-1 victory over the South Huntington Sharpshooters.
Finley also went two for two with wins over the Outlaws White and the Sharpshooters. Arnold Alfaro scored twice and Alex Martinez three times in the 6-0 triumph over the Outlaws and both boys were on target again in the 5-2 win over the Sharpshooters. Alex Fascilla, Brendan Abedin and Jack Krisch also scored with Chris O’Connor and Jonathan Solar replying for the Sharpshooters.

GU13/14

Elizabeth Starin scored four times for the Northport Spirit in their opening game against the Tiger Lily’s, Mia Freire also scored twice for the Spirit in their 6-2 win. Grave Moyka was on target twice for the Lily’s.
Elizabeth and Mia were again on the score sheet as the Spirit beat the Blue Devils 2-1. Jessie Grover pulled one back for the Devils but they couldn’t find an equalizer and the Spirit held on to go two for two.
Emily Cheshire and Beanna Cumella scored for the Shooting Stars as they beat the Tiger Lily’s 2-1 in a close game, Grace Moyka was on target again for the Lily’s.
Emily Cheshire then scored the only goal of the game as the Shooting Stars beat the Blue Devils 1-0 in the final game of the day.

BU16

The United had a good night coming out on top in two close game in the BU16 division. Goals by Gabe Quesquen, Alex Martino and Will Friedman gave them a 3-1 victory over the Sting Green. An even closer game saw United come from behind against Sting White to win 4-3.
Chris Wright was on target twice for Sting White and Erin Ayden once but two late goals by United turned the game around and got them the points. Tom Jackson scored twice and Gabe Quesquen and Dante Polsinelli once.
H Footy had a convincing win over the Sting Green, Jordan Robinson and Carlos Godoy each scored twice in the 5-1 victory.
The Sting White looked like they were on their way to victory over United after two goals by Chris Wright and one by Erin Ayden gave them a 3-2 lead. United’s pressure paid off though with two late goals as they won 4-3, Tom Jackson scored twice and Gabe Quesquen and Dante Polsinelli once.
H Footy then took a two goal lead against CSH Falcons thanks to goals by Jordan Robinson and Ronan Carroll. The Falcons staged a second half comeback and goals by Jason Castellano and Thomas Mallia made the final score 2-2.
Another close game followed with the Sting White and the Falcons. Chris Wright gave Sting the lead but Eddie Daubel tied it up for the Falcons before half time. The second half was end to end with both teams pushing everyone forward in search of a winner. The Falcons thought they had it when Thomas Mallia’s deflected shot found the net but an unfortunate own goal brought the scores level. With thirty seconds to go Eddie Daubel reacted first in the box to give the Falcons a 3-2 victory!

WEEKLY REVIEW week 1

BU7/8

The 19th season at Coindre Hall kicked off with the Bu7/8 division.
The first goals, and win of the day, going to the Crushers who beat Roma 4-0. Chris Prainito scored twice against Roma then added another two to his tally in a 2-2 draw with Rangers, Grant Kurland was also on target twice for Rangers in a tight game. Rangers followed up with a 3-0 victory over the Destroyers while Ajax got off to a good start with two convincing wins over Roma and the Southdown Flyers. Carter Veitch and James Vohs both scored four goals on the day for Ajax in their 6-0 and 6-1 wins. Germany also got maximum points with victories over the Destroyers and Lazio. Austin Krywack scored the winner in the dying seconds to give Germany a 3-2 win over the Destroyers which was followed by the 3-0 win over Lazio.
The other game was an exciting 0-0 tie between Lazio and the Southdown Flyers, both teams played well but couldn’t break the deadlock.

BU9/10

Valencia started the season with a pair of 6-0 victories over Poland and Wolves. Dylan Gugin scored two early goals against Poland and Lennon Harrington added three more before Rajveer Gujral completed the scoring. Lennon Harrington also found the net four times against Wolves. Poland bounced back and beat Atletico 2-1. It looked like it was heading for a tie with Brian Lynch’s goal for Poland canceling out Nick Kump’s opener but an unfortunate own goal in the last five seconds gave Poland the points. Nick Kump was on target again scoring twice against Hbc Wolves but a hat trick by Chris Walker saw Wolves finish on top in an entertaining 4-3 victory.

BU11/12

Chelsea started their season well with a 6-0 win over Spurs, Dylan Gugin scored a hat trick and Bryan Lizama twice. A competitive game against Arsenal followed with Chelsea eventually running out 4-1 winners, Lennon Harrington scoring a hat trick in this one. Hbc Ambush also got off to a flying start with a 6-0 victory over Spurs then a 5-1 win over Benfica. Charlie Grimonti and Dylan Schnitzer both scored three times on the day for the impressive Ambush. Arsenal recovered and took the points beating Benfica 4-2 in and end to end game to get their first points of the season, Nick Induisi, Nick Campanelli, Patrick Soulias and Jonathan Shank all finding the net.

BU13/14

The BU13/14 division looks like being a very competitive group and all seven games during week one proved to be close and exciting encounters.
The Outlaws Green started with a 2-0 victory over South Huntington Sharpshooters thanks to goals by Anthony Restivo and Michael Turner but their next game ended in a 2-1 defeat to the Green Machine. Chris Roberts scored both goals to secure the points for the Green Machine who then tied the Uniondale Vikingos 1-1. Thomas Mallady was on target for the Green Machine but an own goal saw the Vikingos get a share of the points. The Sharpshooters returned with a 2-0 victory over the Outlaws White with goals by Jeffrey Sorto and Chris O’Connor. The Outlaws White also lost in their next game going down 3-0 to Chaos, the goals scored by Danya Danziger, Carmine De’Ieso and Emmy Forbes. The Vikingos got their first win of the season with a 3-1 triumph over Finley, their goals scored by Allan Calderon, Kazuki Yoshihashi and Adrian Astudillo. Finley then lost another tight game as Chaos ran out 2-1 winners. Chaos, who had Jason Garay and Brian Contreras on the score sheet against Finley, were the only team to win both games on the day so sit at the top of table.

GU13/14

Last year’s Golden Boot winner Elizabeth Starin was on target again as she netted twice in the opening game in the girls U13/14 division. Her two goals helped Northport Spirit to a 3-1 victory over the Tiger Lily’s. Leela Desai also scored for Spirit while Grace Moyka replied for the Lily’s. The Hbc Blue Devils also beat the Tiger Lily’s, Deanna Cumella scored twice in the 4-1 victory. The Spirit and the Shooting Stars then played an entertaining game which could have gone either way but ended 0-0 before the Blue Devils beat the Shooting Stars 4-3. Abby Semelsberger scored twice and Emily Cheshire once for the Stars but a Deanna Cumella hat trick and a goal by Riva Bergman made sure the Blue Devils took the points.

BU16

The two Sting teams, White and Green, played each other to start the BU16 season. A Johnny Tucker hat trick wasn’t enough for Green as they went down 8-5 to the White team who saw Erin Ayden hit the net five times! The Sting White then went down 3-2 in a fast paced game with H Footy. Ronan Carroll scored twice and Jordan Robinson once as H Footy got their first points. The Sting Green got their first win with a 5-3 victory over CSH Falcons. Another end to end game saw John Baccardo score four time for the Sting. The United got their season underway with a 2-2 tie against H Footy. Goals by Alex Morino and Chris Shey gave them the lead but Carlos Godoy and Jordan Robinson replied for H Footy. United finished the day with a 4-0 win over the CSH Falcons, Alex and Chris were on target again as well as Gabe Quesquen and Will Friedman.

Boys U6

HBC Holland and HBC Germany played a double header to start week 8 in the BU6 division and it was Holland who came out on top in both games. Justin Tibaldi scored twice and Alex Gizzi, Anderson Henke and Connor McDonald added one each in game one which ended 5-0 in Holland’s favor. The same four players all scored in the second game which was a 4-1 victory for Holland.

Play Offs

Southdown Flyers 3-0 Future Stars

The Flyers and Future Stars played an even first half with both teams unable to find the net. The second half belonged to the Flyers and two goals by Colby Konisberg and one from Michael Tucker gave them a deserved 3-0 victory and a place in the final against the winner from the second semi final.

Kings Park Extreme 3-2 Green Machine

An exciting semi final saw Kings Park top scorer Matthew Donnis give them the lead in the first half but the Green Machine hit back with Jonathan Duffy scoring an equalizer. Maddie Dirusso then put Kings Park ahead for the second time before half time. Both teams attacked in the second half and Matthew Donnis added a third for Kings Park before Jonathan Duffy pulled back a late goal for the Green Machine to set up a tense finish. Despite their best efforts the Green Machine couldn’t find a third goal and Kings Park held on to move into the final.

3rd place play off

Green Machine 3-2 Future Stars

An entertaining third place play off game saw the Green Machine hold on for a 3-2 victory over the Future Stars. The Green Machine’s top scorer Jonathan Duffy scored another two goals and Zenoven Stewart scored once as the Green Machine looked to be heading for a comfortable win. Roman Martin pulled a goal back for the Future Stars though and then Leela Drokowski added a late second but the Green Machine took third pace with a 3-2 victory.

FINAL

Kings Park Express 2-1 Southdown Flyers

Appropriately, the final turned out to be the game of the night with end to end action from start to finish. Both keepers made saves to keep it scoreless in the first half before Kings Park’s Matthew Donnis finally broke the deadlock early in the second. The Flyers spent the rest of the half on the offense looking for an equalizer and the pressure paid off with less than two minutes to go when Jack Steinberg’s shot found the corner of the net. That goal set up an exciting finale and in the last minute the Flyers’ Michael Tucker raced through the middle and narrowly missed. Kings Park headed straight to the other end of the court and with only twenty seconds left on the clock Madison Squillaciotti placed her shot just inside the post to win it for Kings Park. It was tough on the Flyers but both teams deserve a lot of credit for a great final and an entertaining season throughout.

WEEKLY REVIEW

Week 8

BU6

Southdown Flyers ended the league season with two victories and head into the weekends play offs in a confident mood. Colby Konisberg and Jack Steinberg scored the goals in their 2-0 win over HBC Germany then Michael Tucker scored a hat trick in the 3-1 victory over the Green Machine.

HBC Holland also beat Germany, Justin Tibaldi was on target twice in the 4-0 win. Holland found the going tougher against the Future Stars who guaranteed themselves a place in the play offs with a 2-0 victory, Jamin Husselbeck and Roman Martin scored the goals.

Matthew Donnis scored the only goal of the game for Kings Park Express as they beat the Green Machine 1-0 in a close game. The Express were already sure of a first place finish in the league but suffered their first loss of the season to the Future Stars, 1-0, who secured a third place place with the victory.

The weekends play offs will see Kings Park play the Green Machine and Southdown Flyers take on the Future Stars, it should be an exciting end to the season!

BU7

Elwood and the HBC Crushers played a double header to finish their season. The first game saw Elwood come out on top 2-1 with goals by Colin McMinn and Thomas Carluccio canceling out Caden Veitch’s goal for the Crushers. The second game was just as close with both teams unable to find the net in a 0-0 draw.

Play offs

Celtic 2 v 0 HBC Cruisers

Celtic and the Cruisers met in the first play off semi final and a close first half saw both teams miss chances to take the lead. Celtic eventually broke the deadlock mid way through the second half when Lennon Harrington’s shot found the corner. Robbie Campbell scored a second shortly after to take Celtic into the final.

Rangers 1 v 2 Annoying Oranges Jnrs.

Both teams ended the season level on points so this was always going to be a close and competitive game. The Oranges struck first early in the game when top scorer Jhordan Morada finished well to give them the lead. Rangers fought back and their pressure finally paid off when Matthew Bender tied it up just before half time. Both teams attacked in the second half and it was Jhordan Morada who scored his, and the Oranges, second of the game to give them the advantage. Despite late pressure from Rangers and an almighty goalmouth scramble the Oranges defense held firm and moved into the final with a 2-1 victory.

3rd place play off

Rangers 6 v 1 HBC Cruisers

After an exciting semi final performance with Celtic the Cruisers came up against Rangers who found their goal scoring touch in a dominant performance. After a close first half Rangers pulled away in the second half with Joe Rocca scoring twice in the 6-1 victory.

FINAL

Celtic 4 v 1 Annoying Oranges Jnrs.

The final was a very open game with both teams intent on attacking. Celtic took the lead through Lennon Harrington but a fine goal by Jhordan Morada made it 1-1 at the half. There were chances for both teams before Celtic regained the lead in an exciting second half. Jeffrey Flores scored the go ahead goal and a second goal each for Lennon and Jeffrey late on sealed the win for Celtic.

Congrats to all teams for an entertaining season and to Celtic for their victory in the final!

BU10

Team Poland got stronger as the season progressed and a good performance in the 0-0 tie with the HBC Chargers was followed by their first win of the season as they defeated HBC Wolves 1-0, Mikey Kline scoring the all important goal.

HBC Spurs beat Wolves 3-0 with goals by Mason Sher, Alex Aguillera and Nick Perciballi but went down 6-0 to the HBC Wildcats who also beat the Chargers 5-0. Chris Thorsen and Nick Campanelli each scored three times on the day for the Wildcats with Danny Dorrie and Dylan Rogers scoring twice and Alex Testa once.

Play offs

Chelsea 4-0 Northport Thunder

Northport Thunder went into the play offs without top scorer John Oualaalou and couldn’t find the net in their semi final game against Chelsea. Liam Harrington gave Chelsea an early lead and a hat trick by Aleks Proniewski saw Chelsea claim a place in the final with a 4-0 victory.

Arsenal 2-1 HBC Ambush

This was an exciting game from start to finish with both teams fully committed to attacking. Charlie Grimonti gave the Ambush a 1-0 half time lead and it stayed that way until late in the game when Patrick Soulias reacted first in the box and tied it up for Arsenal. It looked like the game was heading into over time but more drama was to follow as a last minute goal by Dylan Gugin sent Arsenal into the final.

3rd place place off

HBC Ambush 3-0 Northport Thunder

The Ambush recovered from their semi final loss and a confident display saw them beat Northport Thunder 3-0 in the play off for 3rd place. Charlie Grimonti, Henry Vohs and Luke Rinaldi scored the goals as the Ambush finished on a winning note.

FINAL

Chelsea 4-1 Arsenal

Chelsea stormed into an early lead as Liam Harington finished off a good passing move in the first ten seconds to make it 1-0. Arsenal got themselves back into the game and Patrick Soulias equalized to make it 1-1 not long after. Arsenal went in search of more goals and only two fine saves by Ryan Schiff in the Chelsea goal kept them on level terms. Chelsea regained the lead shortly before half time with Liam Harrington scoring a second as Chelsea hit Arsenal on the break. The second half saw Arsenal press for a second equalizer but a third goal by Liam Harrington gave Chelsea some breathing space and a fourth by Lennon Harrington sealed a 4-1 victory.

Congrats to all teams in the U10 division in what was an exciting season throughout. To Chelsea for their win in the final and to Lennon Harrington who won the Golden Boot.

BU12/13

The HBC Outlaws opened the final week of the Bu12/13 division with a 3-2 win over the SH Saints, Michael Kleinman, Patrick Ahearne and Adrian Ramonetti all found the net. The Outlaws then played a close encounter with the SH Sharpshooters but went down 2-1, Michael Kleinman was on target again for the Outlaws but two Chris O’Connor goals secured the points for the Sharpshooters. The Sharpshooters made it two wins with a 3-0 victory over Levittown Inferno, goals by Kevin Martin, Chris O’Connor and Vinnie Santoiemma confirmed a second place finish in the league for the Sharpshooters.

Uniondale Vikingos ended the season with two more victories to finish first in the league. Warren Sanger found the net twice in the 5-1 win over the SH Saints and Douglas Barrera was on target twice in the 4-0 win over Levittown. Kazuki Yoshihashi’s two goals also meant he finished as the BU12/13 Golden Boot winner.

GU12/13

The Shooting Stars and Tiger Lily’s played a double header before the play offs with each team winning once. Lauren Kennedy scored the only goal of the first game in the Tiger Lily’s 1-0 victory. The Shooting Stars then won 3-1 thanks to two goals by Mia Redick and one by Caroline Hartough, Claire Lindsey scored for the Lily’s.

Play Offs

CSH Crushers 3-1 Northport Dolphins

The Crushers came out in determined mood in the first semi final and raced into a 3-0 half time lead over the Dolphins. Kaylie Mackiewicz, Petra Brown and Brooke Baratta scored the goals. The Dolphins got back into the game with a goal by Emily Starin but despite a couple of chances couldn’t score a second and the Crushers moved into the final with a 3-1 win.

Northport Spirit 0-1 HBC Blue Devils

An exciting semi final between the Spirit and the Blue Devils saw Meghan Agrillo score the only goal in close first half to give the Devils the advantage. The Spirit pressed for most of the second half but couldn’t find a way through a resolute Devils defense who held on for the 1-0 win and moved into the final to play the Crushers.

3rd place game

Northport Dolphins 1-2 Northport Spirit

Another exciting game saw the Spirit take a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to an Elizabeth Starin goal. The Dolphins fought back in the second half and a late equalizer by Mia Freire took the game into overtime, the first play off game of the day to need the extra period! Both teams attacked in the five minute ‘Golden Goal’ period and had chances to win it but both keepers kept out the many shots coming their way. With penalty kicks looming the Spirit mounted one last attack and with only four seconds left in overtime Julianna Bertolini hammered home a rebound to give the Spirit victory.

FINAL

CSH Crushers 0-1 HBC Blue Devils

The girls final was probably the most dramatic of them all with both teams defending well and limiting each other to very few half chances. It was no surprise to see them tied 0-0 at half time and it seemed inevitable that the game would need overtime and possibly penalty kicks to decide a winner. Both keepers played a big part and at the final whistle the game was still deadlocked, 0-0.

The five minute overtime period began with both teams looking for the all important goal. In the third minute of overtime it was the Blue Devils who finally made the breakthrough when Alex Gerbavsits redirected a deflected shot into the corner of the CSH net to give HBC the win. It was a tough way for the Crushers to lose in the final but both teams deserve a lot of credit for playing their part in such an exciting game.

Congrats to all the girls for such an entertaining season, to the HBC Blue Devils for their victory in the final and to Elizabeth Starin who won the Golden Boot!

BU14/15

Play Offs

HBC Sting 4-2 Northport Warriors

The Sting came out flying and charged into 4-0 lead thanks to two goals by Luke Luckow and one each from Eren Aydin and Jordan McCoy. The Warriors steadied the ship and reduced the arrears before half time with a goal by Evan Garone. They continued the fightback after half time and Jack Wetzel made it 4-2. Despite some pressure they couldn’t add to the total and the Sting’s first half performance was enough for them to move into the final.

Tornados 2-3 CSH Falcons

The Falcons also started strong and were 3-1 up at the half thanks to goals by Jason Castellanos, James Cosmai and Ray Domjan. Adam Debus had briefly leveled for the Tornados when he converted a penalty kick and when Corey Phelan scored a second for the Tornados with a a few minutes to go in the second half it looked like a comeback was on the cards. The Falcons held on however and despite some nervous moments in the final minute took their place in the final against the Sting.

3rd place game

Northport Warriors 4-2 Tornados

The 3rd place game saw Northport start strongly and it was the Warriors who held a 3-1 half time lead. The second half proved to be very even with both teams scoring once to give the Warriors a 4-2 victory. Sean McArdle was on target twice for the Warriors with Jack Wetzel and Joey Vivona adding one each. Adam Debus and Corey Phelan found the net for the Tornados again.

FINAL

HBC Sting 2-0 CSH Falcons

The Sting were unbeaten in the league season and went into the final full of confidence but the Falcons matched them all the way in an exciting final game. The teams were level at the break with both teams unable to find the net. The Sting finally went ahead half way through the second half when top scorer Luke Luckow hammered home the opening goal. Colby Rapell made important saves to maintain the Sting’s lead before Eren Aydin wrapped it up late on with a second goal for the Sting. It was impressive end to a great season.

Congrats to all teams and players, to the Sting and to Luke Luckow for winning the BU14/15 Golden Boot award.

WEEKLY REVIEW

Week 7

BU6

Southdown Flyers continued their run of form with two more victories during week 7. Jack Steinberg scored a hat trick in the 4-1 win over Future Stars then two goals by Colby Konisberg secured the points in a 2-0 win over HBC Holland.

Roman Martin scored for the Future Stars in their game against the Green Machine but two goals by Jonathan Duffy gave the Green Machine a 2-1 win. Jonathan scored another two goals as the Green Machine went two for two by beating HBC Germany 2-1, Vincent Garone was on target for Germany.

Kings Park also won twice with Golden Boot leader Matthew Donnis scoring all four goal in the 4-1 victory over HBC Holland. He then scored again against HBC Germany in the 2-0 win with Madison Squillacioti adding the second.

BU7

Celtic finished top of the division going into the play offs with two victories in the BU7 division. Lennon Harrington scored twice in the 3-0 win over Elwood with Jeffrey Flores also on the score sheet. Robbie Campbell scored against the Annoying Oranges and Lennon Harrington added two more as Celtic won 3-1.

The HBC Cruisers secured a play off place with a 4-1 win over Elwood and a 1-1 tie with the HBC Crushers. Chris Prainito and Callan Steele each had two goals on the day for the Cruisers.

The Oranges were assured of a play off place and tied for second place in the division with Rangers who beat them 5-2. Jhordan Morada scored twice for the Oranges but a hat trick by Grant Kurland and two goals by Angelo Lucignano saw Rangers collect the points.

James Vassallo’s second goal of the day wasn’t enough for the HBC Crushers as Rangers made it two wins on the day thanks to a double by Matt Bender, 2-1 the final score.

That result meant Rangers and the Oranges tied for second place and will face each other in the play offs at the weekend. Celtic will play the HBC Cruisers who finished fourth.

BU10

Arsenal and Chelsea played the opening game of the BU10 division with Arsenal taking a first half lead through Bryan Lizama. Jason Kaiser equalized for Chelsea before half time and two goals in quick succession from Liam Harrington in the second half gave Chelsea the advantage, Aleks Proniewski added a fourth late on, 4-1 the result.

Arsenal bounced back with a 7-2 victory over the HBC Chargers to finish third in the division, Patrick Soulias scored a hat trick.

Chelsea then made sure of a first place finish by beating HBC Spurs 7-0, Aleks Proniewski scored a hat trick and Lennon Harrington scored twice.

HBC Ambush beat the Chargers 4-0 and finished second in the table by doing so. Liam Lennon was on target twice for the Ambush who will play Arsenal in the semi final play off at the weekend.

Sawyer Diamond and Logan Weisnethall each scored twice for HBC Spurs in the 4-0 victory over Team Poland but their earlier loss meant they finished fifth in the table and therefore miss out on a play of place.

Northport Thunder needed two points to make sure of a play off place and they got them against the Ambush winning an entertaining game 3-2. Henry Vohs and Charie Grimonti scored for the Ambush but two Goals by Timmy Tomlinson and one from John Oualaalou were enough for the Thunder.

The Thunder then beat the HBC Wildcats 4-1 thanks to a John Oualaalou hat trick. The Thunder ended the season level on points with Arsenal but finish fourth because Arsenal have the better head to head record. They now meet Chelsea in the play offs at the weekend.

Wolves beat Poland 3-1 but lost to the Wildcats 3-0 to finish in seventh place. Danny Dorrie, Luke Defruscia and Dylan Rogers scored for the Wildcats who finished in sixth place in the division.

BU12/13

The SH Saints had a good day with two victories over the SH Sharpshooters then Levittown Inferno. Nico Rzehak scored twice in the 3-0 win over the Sharpshooters with Trevor Hubbard adding the third. James Philipis scored a second half hat trick in the 6-1 win over Levittown.

The Uniondale Vikingos were looking to maintain their perfect record and led the SH Sharpshooters 1-0 at half time thanks to a Niko Vidal goal. The Sharpshooters replied in the second half when Alan Veliz scored and had a couple of late chances to take the lead before Kazuki Yoshihashi fired the winner for the Vikingos with less than twenty seconds left to play. Warren Sanger was on target twice in the next Vikingos game as they beat the HBC Outlaws 4-0.

The Outlaws came back to beat the Inferno 2-0 in the final game of the day, Matt Bratchie and and Michael Kleinman scoring the goals.

GU12/13

CSH Crushers made sure of a first place finish with two 2-0 victories. Katie Browne and Petra Brown scored second half goals against the Shooting Stars then Emily Plachta scored both goals in the victory over the Northport Dolphins.

Northport Spirit also beat the Shooting Stars 2-0. Jensy Ponce and Valerie Norden scored the goals which meant the Northport Dolphins were guaranteed a play off place before they played.

The Dolphins and Shooting Stars were tied on ten points each but the Dolphins had a better head to head record.

Elizabeth Starin scored a hat trick in the Spirit’s 3-0 win over the Tiger Lily’s who were also beaten by the Blue Devils 2-0, Megan Agrillo scored both goal for the Devils.

Goals by Lucy Biblow, Carly Stevens and Megan Agrillo saw the Blue Devils pick up another two points as they defeated the Tiger Lily’s 3-1.

CSH Crushers will play the Northport Dolphins in one of the semi finals and the Spirit will face the Blue Devils in the other, it should be an exciting weekend!

BU14/15

The HBC Sting recorded another two victories during week seven. Chris Wright hit the net twice in the 4-2 win over the Northport Warriors then Luke Luckow scored a hat trick in the 5-0 win over the Tornados.

Charles Willis scored twice as the CSH Falcons beat the Northport Warriors 4-0, Yotam Granov and James Cosmai were also on target.

Charles and James were on the score sheet again for the Falcons but they went down 7-2 to the Tornados. Corey Phelan scored four second half goals for the Tornados to add to two Brendan Tomlinson strikes and one from Adam Debus in the first half.

Week eight will see the Sting play Northport in the first semi final then the Tornados and Falcons in the second.

WEEKLY REVIEW

Week 6

BU6

HBC Holland moved above HBC Germany in the league table with two wins in the BU6 division. Alex Gizzi scored both goals in the 2-0 victory over Germany then Connor McDonald and Justin Tibaldi scored as they beat the Green Machine 2-1.

The Southdown Flyers also beat the Green Machine. Michael Tucker, Jack Steinberg and Colby Konisberg all scored in the 3-1 win.

The Future Stars shared the points with Germany in a 1-1 tie but then went down 2-0 to the Kings Park Express.

The game of the day was between Kings Park and the Flyers. An entertaining game saw Matthew Donnis score a hat trick for the Express but the Flyers claimed a point with two goals from Jack Steinberg and one from Michael Tucker, 3-3 the final score.

BU7

The Annoying Oranges Jnrs and Celtic both had good weeks taking maximum points from their games. The Oranges beat the HBC Cruisers 3-0 then two Jhordan Morada goals helped them overcome Elwood 4-1.

Celtic beat Rangers 4-2 and the HBC Crushers 3-0 to stay clear at the top of the table, Jeffrey Flores scored twice in both games.

Elwood and the Crushers played an end to end game but both teams were unable to fine the net and the points were shared, 0-0.

BU10

Northport Thunder opened the BU10 division with a 3-0 victory over Team Poland, Liam Sevey, Dylan Sofarelli and Finn Tyer scoring the goals. The Thunder couldn’t make it two for two though as they lost to Chelsea. Liam Harrington opened the scoring, Shay Daly added a second before Lennon Harrington scored twice to complete a 4-0 victory.

The two teams who started the day level on points at the top of the table then played with Chelsea overcoming the HBC Ambush. Shane Longin broke the deadlock in the first half and further goals from Aleks Proniewski, Shay Daly and Lennon Harrington gave Chelsea their second 4-0 win of the day.

The Ambush recovered to beat HBC Spurs 7-1, Henry Vohs scored a hat trick and Luke Rinaldi scored twice.

Team Poland played an excellent game with the HBC Chargers and got their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw. Lars Galvin and Mikey Kline were on target for Poland with Ethan Leece and Lucas Sheridan replying for the Chargers.

Nick Camponelli and Danny Dorrie each scored twice as the HBC Wildcats beat the Chargers 4-0 but they lost to Arsenal as a late goal from Bryan Lizama, his second of the game, gave Arsenal a 2-1 win.

David Lazaro was another player to score twice as Spurs beat HBC Wolves 3-0. Sean Kozodoy went one better and scored a hat trick as Arsenal beat Wolves 7-2, Patrick Soulias was also on target twice.

BU12/13

The Saints recorded a 3-1 win over the HBC Outlaws in the opening BU12/13 game, Nico Rzehak finding the net twice. They then played a close game against the Uniondale Vikingos but went down 4-2, Kevin Zelaya scoring twice for the Vikingos. The Vikingos continued their excellent season with a second victory, this time over Levittown Inferno. Their 3-1 victory means they are the only team in all the divisions with a perfect record.

The SH Sharpshooters also had a good day winning both of their games. Kevin Martin and Pranith Gona scored the goals as they beat the Outlaws 2-0 then Kevin Martin scored the only goal of a close game against the Inferno.

GU12/13

Elizabeth Starin continued her fine goal scoring run for the Northport Spirit netting another five goals in the GU12/13 division. She scored both goals in the 2-0 win over the Northport Dolphins then hit a hat trick in the 4-2 victory over the HBC Blue Devils. Jensy Ponce was also on target for the Spirit while Meghan Agrillo scored twice for the Devils.

Kaitlyn Stefanac, Lucy Goldner and Shannon O’Boyle scored the goals as the Dolphins beat the Shooting Stars 3-1 and Emily Plachta scored the only goal of an exciting game as the CSH Crushers beat the Blue Devils 1-0.

Tiger Lily’s and the Shooting Stars played a competitive game that ended even with both teams unable to find the net, 0-0 the final score.

The final game of the day saw the Tiger Lily’s beat the Crushers 2-1. Caroline O’Rourke’s goal looked like it would give the Crushers another 1-0 win but Angeline Miraglia tied it up for the Lily’s before Claire Lindsey scored the winner with only five seconds left on the clock.

BU14/15

Jason Castellanos and Eddie Daubel scored the goals as the CSH Falcons beat the Northport Warriors 2-1. Both players were on target in their next game with Eddie scoring a hat trick but it wasn’t enough as the HBC Sting beat them 7-4. John Tucker, Luke Luckow and Chris Wright all scored twice and Eren Aydin once for the Sting.

Chris and Eren also scored twice in the Sting’s 5-3 win over the Tornados with Luke scoring once. Jordan Robinson found the net twice for the Tornados and Chris Callan once,

The Tornados came out on top in their game with the Warriors, Corey Phelan and Jordan Robinson with the goals.

Week 5

BU6

Southdown Flyers enjoyed two victories in the BU6 division. Jack Steinberg scored a hat trick in the 5-1 win over the Future Stars before Michael Tucker hit a hat trick in the 6-0 win over HBC Germany.

The Future Stars recovered to beat HBC Holland 2-0, Roman Martin and Leela Drakowski both scoring.

The Green Machine and Germany then played out an even game with both teams unable to take the chances that came their way, 0-0 the final score.

Kings Park maintained their 100% record beating Holland 4-2 then Green Machine 5-1. Matthew Donnis was in fine form again with a hat trick against Holland then all five goals against Green Machine, Matthew currently sits at the top of the Golden Boot table with 21 goals.

BU7

Rangers collected the points with a 4-0 win over the HBC Crushers but then went down 1-0 to Elwood. Thomas Carluccio scored the only goal of the game for Elwood who also had Luca Palisciano to thank in goal for some important saves throughout.

The Annoying Oranges and HBC Crushers played an entertaining game with the Oranges scoring the winner with only ten seconds left on the clock. Two goals by Caden Veitch helped the Crushers take the lead but Jhordan Morada replied with two goals and Alex Morada struck the winner with almost the last kick of the game.

Jeffrey Flores and Lennon Harrington both scored twice as Celtic beat the Oranges 5-1. Celtic followed that with a 5-2 win over the HBC Cruisers to stay clear at the top of the table, Lennon Harrington scored three of the Celtic goals. Callan Steel and Christopher Prainito were on target for the Cruisers who also tied 0-0 with Elwood.

BU10

HBC Ambush had a god day with their two victories taking them level on points with Chelsea at the top of the table. Henry Vohs and Liam Lennon scored in the 3-1 win over the HBC Wildcats before Charlie Blitz, Ryan Porcio and Liam McDonald found the net in the 3-2 win over Arsenal.

Chelsea and the Wildcats drew 0-0 in a game with plenty of goalmouth action. Chelsea then held on to win 2-1 over the HBC Chargers to stay level at the top.

Ryan Cash scored twice for Northport Thunder but two goals by Dylan Gugin helped Arsenal on their way to a 4-2 victory.

John Oualaalou was also on target twice for the Thunder in their 4-0 win over HBC Wolves. Wolves recovered to pick up the points in a 2-0 win over Team Poland, Sean Manoff and Jace Novitz scored the goals.

HBC Spurs had a good week with two victories. Logan Weisemthall scored twice in the 4-1 win over the HBC Chargers then Luke Roberts hit a hat trick in the 6-0 victory over Poland.

BU12/13

Chris Roberts scored two early goals for the SH Saints in their game with the SH Sharpshooters but the Sharpshooters hit back with two goals of their own before half time, Vinnie Santoiemma and Jonathan Solar’s bringing them level. The comeback was complete in the second half when Chris O’Connor struck the winner for the Sharpshooters, 3-2 the final score.

Kazuki Yoshihashi and Jason Hernandez each scored two goals as the Uniondale Vikingos beat the Sharpshooters 5-1. The Vikingos maintained their perfect record with a tight 1-0 victory over the HBC Outlaws, Allan Calderon scored the only goal of the game.

Austin O’Reagan’s two goals secured a share of the points for Levittown Inferno as they tied 2-2 with the SH Saints but they were beaten in the final game of the day as the Outlaws defeated them 4-0, two goals each for Partick Ahearne and Anthony Restivo the difference.

GU12/13

The Tiger Lily’s had their best week of the season so far with a win and a tie during week 5. Elizabeth Starin was on target twice for Northport Spirit but goals by Ellen Maguire and Ava Maiella meant their game ended all square at 2-2. The Lily’s then won their first game of the season beating the Northport Dolphins 2-0, Ellen Maguire and Adelaide Kline with the goals.

Elizabeth Starin went one better in the Spirit’s next game and scored a hat trick as they handed CSH Crushers their first loss of the season, 4-1 the final score.

The Crushers came back to win their second game 3-0 over the HBC Shooting Stars, Sarah Concannon was on target twice.

Annie Gruhn was another player to score twice as the Northport Dolphins recorded a 5-2 victory over the Blue Devils before the Shooting Stars beat the Blue Devils 3-2 in the final game of the day, thanks in part to Christine Maceluch’s two strikes.

BU14/15

Golden Boot leaders Luke Luckow and Eren Aydin each scored twice as the HBC Sting beat the CSH Falcons 5-2 in the opening BU14/15 game of the day.

The Falcons then defeated the Tornados 2-1 thanks to goals by James Cosmai and Charles Willis.

The Sting saw off a fight back from the Northport Warriors to win 4-2 to stay clear at the top of the league before the Warriors lost the final game of the day 1-0 to the Tornados. In a close game that looked to heading for a 0-0 draw Chris Callun hit the winner with only seconds remaining to give the Tornados Victory

Week 4

BU6

The Future Stars and Green Machine were unable to break the deadlock in the first U6 game of the day as both teams shared the points in a 0-0 draw. Green Machine soon found their scoring touch beating HBC Holland 5-1 in the next game with Jonathan Duffy scoring four times.

The Future Stars did find the net in their second game but were beaten 2-1 by HBC Germany, John Mannino and Vincent Garone with the Germany goals.

Holland also found the going tough against the Southdown Flyers as three goals by Michael Tucker and two by Jack Steinberg gave the Flyers a 5-0 victory.

Kings Park Express continued their impressive start with another two wins. Matthew Donnis scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Germany and he added four more to his total in the 6-4 victory over over the Flyers. Madison Squillacioti also scored twice for Kings Park while Jack Steinberg scored all four goals for the Flyers.

BU7

The Annoying Oranges Juniors kept their winning streak alive with two close wins in week 4. Lucas Flores and Jhordan Morada were on target in their 2-1 triumph over Elwood and both boys repeated the feat with goals in the 3-2 win over Rangers shortly after.

Celtic remain top with after another two victories. Robbie Campbell scored twice in the 3-1 win over Elwood and Lennon Harrington scored a hat trick in the 7-3 win over the HBC Crushers, Caden Veitch also netted a hat trick for the Crushers.

Two goals each from Cooper Brandt and Callan Steele helped the HBC Cruisers to a 5-2 victory over Rangers before the Crushers and Cruisers ended the day with an entertaining 3-3 tie.

BU10

Two goals each by Evan Gaumont, Sean Kozodoy and Patrick Soulias gave Arsenal a comfortable 6-0 win over HBC Spurs in the opening U10 game before Northport Thunder recorded their own 6-0 win over Spurs with Derek Vassallo scoring a hat trick.

John Oualaalou scored twice for the Thunder but they shared the points with the HBC Wildcats in a 3-3 draw, Chris Thorsen scored a hat trick for the Wildcats.

Chris scored his second hat trick of the day soon after as the Wildcats eased past Team Poland 6-0, Peter Gesell also netted twice

Chelsea split the points with Arsenal in a close game that ended 2-2 but lost their unbeaten record as the HBC Ambush beat them 2-0. Liam Lennon and Liam McDonald the goalscorers for the Ambush.

The Ambush made it two wins on the day with a 7-1 victory over Wolves, Charlie Grimonti scoring twice.

The Chargers recorded a 3-0 win over Team Poland then drew 1-1 with Wolves in the final game in the division. Ian Pomarida opened the scoring for the Chargers but Jack Gidseg leveled for Wolves.

BU12/13

Nico Rzehak and Kevin Nadolne scored the goals as SH Saints beat the HBC Outlaws 2-0 in the BU12/13 division opener. The Saints then gave the Uniondale Vikingos a run for their money but were unable to find an equalizer in the 3-2 loss.

The SH Sharpshooters had a good day with two victories, Pranith Gona scored twice in both games as they beat the Outlaws 5-2 then the Levittown Inferno 5-0.

The Vikingos made it eight wins out of eight with a 5-0 win over Levittown, Niko Vidal scored twice for the Vikingos.

GU12/13

Lucy Biblow scored the only goal as the HBC Shooting Stars recorded a 1-0 win over the Northport Dolphins to open the Girls division. The Stars were then beaten in their second game as Elizabeth Starin scored twice for the Northport Spirit in their 3-1 victory.

CSH Crushers maintained their lead at the top of the table with two victories. Teddi Carnesi and Caroline O’Rourke scored first half goals as the Crushers beat the Dolphins 2-0 and Caroline was on target twice in the 4-0 win over the Tiger Lily’s.

The HBC Blue Devils had a good day with two wins over Northport Spirit and the Tiger Lily’s. Caroline Hatough scored twice against the Spirit and Christy Maceluch twice against the Lily’s.

BU14/15

Sean McArdle’s hat trick wasn’t enough for the Northport Warriors as they went down 5-3 to the Tornados, Corey Phelan scored two of the goals for the Tornados. The Warriors did win in their next game with Tom Kropp scoring twice in their 4-2 victory over CSH Falcons.

Eren Ayden scored a hat trick as the Sting beat the Tornados 6-0 to stay clear at the top of the division. The final game of the day saw the Sting and the Falcons share the points in an entertaining 3-3 draw, Luke Lucklow scored twice for the Sting to stay top of the Golden Boot table and Jonathan Cosmai found the net twice for the Falcons.

Week 3

BU7

Celtic remain top of the division after a draw and a win during the week 3 games. A 6-2 victory over the HBC Cruisers was followed by a 2-2 tie with Rangers.

Matt Bender scored twice for Rangers but goals by Jeffrey Flores and Lennon Harrington evened the score.

The Cruisers led the Annoying Oranges Juniors 1-0 thanks to a James Vassella goal but with time running out Lucas Flores equalized and Jhordan Morada scored the winner with five seconds left to give the Oranges the win.

The Oranges made it two wins by beating the HBC Crushers 5-2, Jhordan Morada again on target, this time with four goals.

Casey Goralski scored twice as Elwood edged out Rangers 3-2 but they went down 2-1 to the Crushers in the final game of the day, Alex Ruisi scoring the winning goal for the Crushers.

BU10

The HBC Wildcats got the U10 division underway with a 7-2 victory over HBC Spurs. Danny Dorrie scored four times and Chris Thorsen twice. The Wildcats then lost to Arsenal 4-1, Dylan Gugin hitting the target twice for Arsenal.

Sean Keslonsky and Lennon Harrington each scored twice as Chelsea beat HBC Spurs 5-0. Chelsea followed that with a 6-0 win over HBC Wolves, Lennon Harrington scoring five of the goals.

The HBC Chargers had a rough day with a 5-0 and 6-0 defeats. Evan Gaumont scored twice for Arsenal in their 5-0 victory while four goals from Henry Vohs and two from Luke Rinaldi gave the HBC Ambush a 6-0 win.

Amir Hussein scored the winner as Wolves beat Team Poland 1-0 in a close game but Northport Thunder proved tougher compettion as they beat Wolves 6-0, Ryan Cash and Kyle Damico each scoring twice for the Thunder.

The U10 game of the day was between the Thunder and the Ambush. Derek Vassallo’s first half goal was enough to give the Thunder the points in an exciting 1-0 win.

BU12/13

The SH Sharpshooters played an end to end game with the SH Saints and came out on top 2-0. Kevin Martin and Paul Schiller scored for the Sharpshooters. 

Allan Calderon’s hat trick then gave the Uniondale Vikingos a 3-0 win over the Sharpshooters and the Vikingos maintained their 100% record by beating the HBC Outlaws 1-0 in a entertaining match, Kevin Zelaya with the only goal of the game.

The Saints recovered to beat the Levittown Inferno. Thomas Pitfick scored twice in the 4-2 triumph before Levittown fell 3-1 to the Outlaws in the final game of the day. Pat Ahearne scored two of the goals for the Outlaws.

BU14/15

There were only three games in the BU14/15 division and the HBC Sting took advantage to stay top with six wins out of six. Luke Lucklow scored twice in the 4-2 victory over CSH Falcons and Eren Aydin scored four as they beat the Tornados 6-2, Corey Phelan had both the goals for the Falcons.

The final game saw the Falcons and the Tornados share the points in a fast paced 2-2 draw. Corey Phelan and Jordan Robinson were on target for the Tornados with Ray Donjan and James Cosmai replying for the Falcons.

GU12/13

The CSH Crushers stayed top of the division after another two victories. Teddi Carnesi, Kylie Rapell and Taylor Cullen all found the net in the 3-0 win over Northport Spirit before the Crushers beat the Blue Devils 4-0. An excellent first half performance saw the Crushers race into a 4-0 lead with Kylie Rappell on target twice.

Two goals by Jensy Ponce gave the Northport Dolphins a 3-2 win over the Spirit and the Dolphins made it two victories with a close 2-1 win over the Tiger Lily’s. Adelaide Kline scored for the Tiger Lily’s but goals by Mckenzie Schuvart and Leela Desai gave the points to the Dolphins.

Caroline Hartough and Mia Reddick each scored twice for the Shooting Stars but their goals couldn’t prevent the Blue Devils from an exciting triumph. Carly Stevens also scored twice as the Devils won 5-4.

The Shooting Stars came back with a victory in the final game of the day in the division as they beat the Tiger Lily’s 4-2

Week 2

BU6

Southdown Flyers had a good week taking maximum points from their two games. A 2-0 win over HBC Germany was followed by a 4-3 victory over Green Machine with Jack Steinberg scoring a hat trick.

HBC Holland also beat Germany 2-0 to record their first points of the season but were beaten by Future Stars 3-2 who had Roman Martin to thank for his three goals.

Jonathan Duffy scored twice for the Green Machine against Kings Park Express but it wasn’t enough as the the Express won 3-2. Matthew Donnis scored twice and an unfortunate own goal meant Kings Park got the points.

Matthew scored another two goals in the 4-0 win over Future Stars which means Kings Park are top of the division with 8 points from four games.

BU7

Rangers won both of their week two games to go second in the league. A 4-2 win over the Annoying Oranges Jnrs was followed by a 5-3 win over the HBC Crushers. Royale Baker scored three times on the day, Joe Rocca and Grant Kurland each had two and Ryan DiVico one.

The Crushers recovered and beat the HBC Cruisers 2-1 thanks to two goals by Caden Veitch, Caden also had two in the Cruisers first game against Rangers.

The Cruisers mounted their own recovery to take the points in a 2-0 victory over Elwood, Cooper Brandt and James Vassallo with the goals.

Celtic remain top with maximum points after two more victories. Lennon Harrington scored four times and Robbie Campbell once in a 5-0 win over the Annoying Oranges. They followed that with a 4-0 win over Elwood, Jeffrey Flores opened the scoring and Lennon Harrington added three more.

BU10

HBC Wolves started the day top of the league but lost a close game with HBC Spurs 2-1. Amir Hussein equalized for Wolves after Nick Perciballi had given Spurs an early lead but David Lazaro scored the winner right after half time. Amir was on target again against the HBC Wildcats but goals from Nick Camponelli, Chris Thorsen and Danny Dorrie gave the Wildcats a 3-1 victory.

The Wildcats then played a tight game against the HBC Ambush, Liam Lennon scored twice for the Ambush but the Wildcats hit back with strikes by Luca Schwarz and Chris Thorsen, 2-2 the final score.

Spurs made it two for two by beating team Poland 6-0 and the Chargers then recorded their first win with a 2-0 win over Poland, Ian Pomareda and Ryan Mohiuddin scoring the goals.

Two Charlie Grimonti goals helped the Ambush to a 3-2 win over Arsenal which means they are unbeaten so far this season.

John Oswillos scored twice for Northport Thunder in their 4-1 win over the Chargers. The Thunder then led Chelsea 1-0 at half time thanks to a great strike from distance by Timmy Tomlinson. Aleks Proniewski volleyed in the equalizer for Chelsea before Lennon Harrington scored a late winner to complete the comeback for Chelsea. Chelsea also remain unbeaten after a 3-0 win over Arsenal. Liam Harrington opened the scoring and Lennon added two more to put Chelsea level on points with HBC Spurs at the top of the division.

BU12/13

Two Nico Rzehak goals and one from Danny Benson gave the SH Saints their first points of the season in a 3-1 win over the HBC Outlaws. Danny was on target again against the Uniondale Vikingos but Goals by Niko Vidai, Warren Sanger, Sebastian Blass and Joshua Ramirez gave the Vikingos the points in a 4-1 win.

The Vikingos made it four wins out of four beating the Levittown Inferno 4-0, Kazuki Yoshihashi was on target twice for the Vikingos.

The SH Sharpshooters beat the Outlaws 3-1 thanks to goals by Kevin Martin, Pranith Gona and an own goal, Patrick Ahearne replied for the Outlaws.

The final match of the day was an exciting but goalless game between the Sharpshooters and the Inferno, both teams had chances but couldn’t break the deadlock, 0-0 the final score.

BU14/15

Chris Callan and Corey Phelan each scored twice as the Tornados continued their fine start to the season by beating Northport Warriors 6-3. They lost their unbeaten record in their next game though as the HBC Sting came out on top 4-1, two goals by Eren Aydin and one each for Chris Wright and John Baccardo winning it for the Sting.

The Northport Warriors then secured their first points with an exciting 5-3 victory over SSB, Jack Wetzel scoring a fine hat trick.

Colin Barnard scored twice for SSB in the final game in the division but HBC Sting helped themselves to eight goals to go top of the table. Luke Lucklow scored a hat trick in the 8-2 win.

GU12/13

The GU12/13 division produced some close and exciting games during week two.

Petra Brown scored the only goal of the game as the CSH Crushers beat the Shooting Stars 1-0. The Crushers then went top of the league with a 3-1 victory over the Northport Dolphins thanks to goals by Kylie Rapell, Caroline O’Rourke and Taylor Cullen, Mia Freire replied for the Dolphins.

The Shooting Stars and the Northport Spirit tied an end to end game 0-0 before the Northport Spirit beat the Tiger Lily’s 4-0. Jensy Ponce was on target twice for the Spirit and Elizabeth Starin once, the other being an own goal.

The final two games also ended in ties. Mia Reddick scored for the HBC Blue Devils but Mia Freire evened it up for the Dolphins in a 1-1 game. The Tiger Lily’s and the Blue Devils found goals hard to come by and had to settle for a point each, 0-0 the final score in that game.
